Oneshot #2- Laser Tag (unrelated)

It was a peaceful day. Simplicity at its best. I sighed contently while watching some random t.v. show playing. The doorbell rang suddenly. I groaned. I slowly stood up and trudged over to the door. The person hadn't stopped ringing the doorbell. It was over and over and over again. I swung the door open. "Listen here ya little-" I stopped mid sentence and my face softened. "Oh, hey Billy. Hi Stu. Why're you here?" My boyfriends of eight months were standing at the door. "Heya baby." Stu grinned at me. Billy waved at me with a small smile on his face. Billy cleared his throat. "Well, we want to take you out today. Y'know, a fun day in the town or whatever." His words sounded slightly forced like he was trying not to embarrass himself. I giggled. "That's really nice of you two. But I do have to get dressed first, you guys can wait in the living room if ya want?" They both nodded. I moved out of the way and guided them into the house.

I quickly walked upstairs to my room to pick out an outfit. I found something suitable and threw it on. I raced back down the stairs with a pep in my step. The pair were sitting on the couch conversing slightly. I grinned and walked up behind them. "I'm readyyy!" They both turned their heads and smiled. "Alright then, let's go!" Stu said excitedly. We all exited the house and started the walk toward town. I didn't know specifically where they wanted to take me but I knew it must not have been far from where I live. "Are we there yet?" I asked impatiently. We've been walking for at least ten minutes now. "Almost baby." Billy said keeping his gaze in front of him. I groaned. "That's what you said five minutes ago!" He sighed. He perked up seconds later. "Y'know what, look. We're finally here!" I grinned at looked at where he was pointing to. "Laser tag?" I asked tilting my head slightly. "Yeah! It was my idea! I thought that you would enjoy it." Stu said grinning at me. I smiled back. "Well thank you guys, I can already tell we'll have a great time."

We walked into the building and a man at the counter greeted us with a half smile. His eyes held tiredness even though he attitude said otherwise. I waved at him with a big smile. "Hello! Uh, we're here to play some laser tag. Shit- uh you already know that because this is a laser tag building-" I paused and took a breath in as my face was red from embarrassment. "Okay, let me restart. May I please know how much it costs to buy a round for three people?" I still smiled up at the man at the counter even though my embarrassment was still very visible. He grinned softly and didn't make any remarks about my previous fuck-up.

"Sure, it'll be $40 for the three of you." My eyebrows knitted together with confusion. "But doesn't it say on the menu that it costs 20 per person?" I tilted my head a little. The man had a coy smile. "Yeah but for you it's free." My face contorted into one of disgust. I knew- not even by looking behind me that Stu and Billy were absolutely livid. A hand wrapped around my waist while another wrapped around my shoulder. I knew who they were.

I let my head fall down smiling, while letting out a breathy laugh. I picked my head back up. "Listen, I'm here to play laser tag. Not play with you. So if you don't mind, fuck off and give let us pay for the shit or else-" I paused glaring at him. "We'll just take our damn business elsewhere." The man had shock written all over his face. His face then contorted to one of aggravation.

"Whatever.." He mumbled angrily. I reached into my back pocket to pull out my money that I had in there to obviously, pay for things but Billy then slapped $60 on the counter. "Don't worry babe, let me treat you." Billy emphasized the word 'babe'. I knew he wanted to rip out that guys heart and feed it to him. Stu also. I knew now that it was Stu who had his hand wrapped around my waist because I could see him from my peripheral vision. But his hand made its way dangerously low on my waist.

I could tell that he had a shit eating grin on his face directed at the man. "Yeah, Billy's right. We need to treat you, baby." I closed my eyes with a passive aggressive smile on my face. "Okay thats enough of that, let's go on and gear up, shall we?" I looked at Billy and Stu with that knowing look. I started to walk away to the area where you pick your teams. The two soon followed after me but not after probably sending the guy a death threat. In the room, there were the red and the blue team. I chose the blue team. A man walked in the room and smiled at us. Other people were following in after him. People flocked to the blue side and the man sighed. "Okay, looks like all the spots for the blue team are taken so, you, you, you, and you will have to be on the red team." While pointing at some people the man also pointed at Billy and Stu. I grinned mischievously. They both glanced over at me and saw my sly grin. Billy rolled his eyes but nonetheless smiled at me. Stu looked like he had heart eyes.
