||+||Time flew by quicker than anyone anticipated. By now, Tommy had been living with the family for two and a half months. Tommy had grown quite fond of his new family, who were starting to get used to the angry demon child roaming the house.
As previously stated, the time had flown by, and by this point Christmas was rapidly approaching. The family had always been huge Christmas fanatics for as long as they could remember, and, as much as they didn't want to admit it, they were excited to share the festive season with their latest arrival.
At this moment, Wilbur, Techno and Tommy were discussing gifts. Mainly for Phil, and a festive little magnet for Mumza (again, as previously stated, a Samsung Smart Fridge).
"He likes birds and shit, right?" Tommy asked. The others nodded in response. "So why not buy him a bird?"
Wilbur stared in shock. "They're fucking expensive... plus, where would we keep it?"
"And," Techno added. "Phil is far too busy to have to deal with the feeding and cleaning of the cage, and there's no way in Hell I'm cleaning up a bird cage."
A moment of silence passed as Tommy brainstormed solutions."Aha!" He grinned, lifting his pointer finger up in a 'light bulb moment' sort of way. "Let's go to town!"
"Tommy, it's fucking -1 Degrees outside, we'll literally die!"
"Oh sorry Princess-"
"Alright, that's enough, both of you!" Techno interjected. His voice sounded more strained than usual; Techno hated the stress of Christmas present shopping.
"Wilbur, you're a pussy." Tommy stated plainly. At this point, Wilbur was ready to "beat some kids" as Phil had once said - a now religiously used quote among the family. And by 'kids', he meant Tommy.
"What did I say?" Techno growled much more aggressively than the previous time, causing both Tommy and Wilbur to shudder slightly in fear. "Okay, it's easier to go out today, so-"
"WHAT?! THAT'S SO UNFAIR!" Wilbur yelled, pouting dramatically. He reminded Techno of a small child throwing a tantrum, which made the pinkette chuckle slightly to himself.
"Let me speak, Wil," he spoke nonchalantly, yet his ever so slight smirk never faltered. "I was going to say, you can take Tommy's scarf."
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Tommy yelled in pure rage, that same emotion glossing over his usual piercing blue eyes, making them look physically red. "It was a gift! You wouldn't take that away from me you shithead!"
"Well, do you wanna argue with him?" Wilbur countered, casually nodding to Techno who loomed over the blonde menacingly. He gulped, shaking his head.
"Good! Now let's go before it gets dark.""Where are you lot off to?" A voice called after them as the familiar jingle of keys reverberated through the, rather echoey, hallway.
"Just going to get a few bits, we'll be back before 5." Techno stated plainly. They all knew if Techno spoke, there'd be a much lower chance of an argument.
Phil simply hummed in return, turning his attention back to the TV. It looked like an anime, the character on screen looking awfully similar to Phil's Minecraft character.
"Fucking weeb-" Tommy whispered, earning a slap on the head from Wilbur. The frosty air stung their faces the moment they stepped out the door. They'd all wrapped up warm, especially Wilbur in Tommy's admittedly worn scarf, yet it didn't stop the biting feeling on their faces.
"Ugh, it's so coooolllllldddddd!" Tommy whined.
"Oh boo hoo!" Wilbur retorted, rolling his eyes. "We all are! Suck it up, dick."
"Shut the fuck up."
"Guys!" Techno didn't want to shout, but it had come to the point where agitation nagged at him.
The pair stopped arguing, the cool air filling with silence. Tommy was keeping himself amused with the prospect of seeing his own breath, Wilbur looked very done with the whole situation. And Techno? He was as nonchalant as ever. The walk usually took about five minutes, but due to the freezing temperatures, they made it in ten.
The streets were packed with shoppers, all with the same idea of buying presents. Some rushed past, occasionally shouting down a phone as they did so. Others silently enjoyed the atmosphere, clutching onto hot beverages and snacks. A few stalls filled with Christmas memorabilia had popped up over the past couple of weeks, crowding the already impossibly cramped road. Tommy could distinctly smell the sweet aroma of cinnamon.
