Enid's POV

✢✢✢

The boy Tyler was still talking to Principal Weems about the espresso machine's malfunctions as I wait, almost ready to drowse off even with the copious amount of coffee in my system. I tap the table waiting for Weems to leave the boy alone as I watch a couple next to us walk out of the Weathervane.

The front entrance bell rings as I think nothing of it, still sipping my coffee as I watch Tyler shift whilst standing uncomfortably. The smile he wore earlier when he brought the coffee has long dissipated as I look behind Weems for a moment.

My eyes and coffee almost burst out of me as the sight of Wednesday standing by the front door catches my eye. Tyler and Weems stare at me with concern as I choke on a bit of my coffee in my throat.

"Are you alright?" the curly brown-haired boy says to me, his face full of concern.

They notice as I stare behind them at Wednesday as Principal Weems turns around to see what I'm looking at. Luckily, Wednesday ducks behind our booth, closely avoiding our principal's eyesight.

I finally am able to calm my fit down as I respond, "I'm alright...I'm alright...just a bit of coffee went down incorrectly."

Weems eyes me with suspicion but with more concern for my well-being as Tyler says to the woman, "I should probably get back to looking at the expresso machine...it's got its own load of problems."

He walks away as Weems seems to finish off the last bit of her coffee and looks down at her watch again. She has a surprised look on her face as I realize it might be the end of Wednesday's therapy session.

"Oh my," she says, almost shrieking worriedly. "Wednesday's session is over in a few minutes, we need to get back to the van immediately."

She stands up and repositions her jacket on her arms as she gestures for me to get up as well.

I panic for a moment as I realize she would be able to easily see Wednesday if she's not distracted by something else as she's such a tall woman. She would be able to easily see Wednesday sitting behind the booth if I don't distract her quick.

"Could I stay here?" I ask quickly, averting her gaze over to me. "We're getting Wednesday anyway to come here...why don't I just stay here."

I stand up as I get her attention and gaze far away from Wednesday. She ponders it for a moment as I can tell she doesn't want to try and argue with me.

"Fine," she finally responds as she points her finger at me. "But stay here, Miss Sinclair, understand?"

"Yes, ma'am," I say with a stern attitude. I walk around her as I motion for her to walk with me to the door.

Luckily, I'm able to keep her gaze focused on getting to the therapy office as the doorbell rings out once more, indicating that she's left the coffee house. As she's far enough away, I look down on the floor to see Wednesday crouching behind the booth stall.
