Wednesday's POV

I walk briskly to where Enid works on her canoe with the rest of her Ophelia Hall friends. I see Yoko's dark-tinted round glasses shimmering in the sunlight. 

As I reach Enid, her hair whips around to reveal her bright ocean-blue eyes. They sparkle upon seeing me but quickly turn away to focus back on her canoe. 

She looked happy to see me, then not so much. 

I ignore it as I tell her, "I have to get back to the woods...it's imperative for my investigation. Weems has been watching me like a vulture circling a carcass."

"And you want me to cover so that you can return to the scene of a crime that didn't happen?"

I look down at her as I feel slightly hurt; she doesn't believe me. I ignore the feeling quickly as I tell her, "I have beekeeping club this afternoon. And I need you as a decoy."

"Sorry. That's two strikes," she says, turning to look at me. "I'm busy, and bees totally creep me out...unless you're willing to let me tag along with you to the crime scene. I know it's not my kind of thing, but I want to spend more time with you...friend to friend. Plus...Yoko's got the canoe on lock. I don't need to worry about getting it finished right now."

I look away for a moment as I cross my arms across my chest, contemplating her proposal. 

"Perhaps...but who will cover for me at the Bee club?" I ask the girl. 

She looks around for a moment setting down her paintbrush. We both look at Yoko at the same moment as the Vampire looks at the two of us. 

"I don't think so," the girl says to the two of us. "I don't do bees."

Enid stands up, and she quickly tells me, "Give us a moment."

She walks over to Yoko, grabs her arm, and drags her off into the distance to talk privately. Enid shoots me a quick smile as they rush off away from the canoe. Still keeping my arms crossed, I watch as the two bicker back and forth with one another.

I keep watching as I notice Enid whispers something in Yoko's ear for only the two of them to know as Yoko looks around the field of trees they're standing under. 

I watch as she looks over at me before she finally nods her head. They come back as Enid excitedly tells me. 

"Good news, Yoko will help us."

I look Yoko up and down as I notice she does not look amused at the situation she has now found herself in. 

"But, we will both only do this on one condition," she says. "You need to apologize to Thing for what you said earlier today in the conservatory."
