Nobody Else (Jenna Ortega x reader)

Chapter 1

Y/N's Pov

I was sleeping peacefully until I heard banging coming from my front door. I tried to ignore it but it just kept getting louder which caused Kenzie, my adorable yorkie and best friend, to bark like crazy. "Great I guess I'm up now", I muttered to myself. "COULD YOU WAIT" I yelled to whoever decided to wake me up at 8am as I sat up in my bed and put on my house shoes. I tiredly walked out of my bedroom and to the front door picking Kenzie up in the process . "How can I help- oh it's only you", I said being sure to noticeably roll my eyes as I stepped aside to let Sadie, my manger/best friend (yes Sadie Sink the other love of my life) in and walk to the kitchen to feed Kenzie.

"Yes it's me. I had to drive all the way over here because you weren't answering your phone and I guessed it's because you forgot you're supposed to be meeting your costars of Scream 6 today", Sadie said following behind me and crossing her arms. "Oh shit", I said as I suddenly remembered and started panicking, "I have to get ready, I completely forgot about that".

My first acting gig and I'm already messing it up. I had been looking forward to this day ever since I found out I got the role and somehow I managed to forget it. I probably shouldn't have stayed at the studio late last night but I was trying to finish this song and I'm just having trouble figuring out what I want to say. "Relax you're not supposed to be there until 10am. Go get ready and I'll fix you some coffee to go and see about Kenzie", Sadie said in her usual calming tone, "You should also dress nice apparently Tyler and Matt picked some fancy restaurant for the meeting". I can always count on Sadie to keep me from going insane. She really is the best manager anyone could wish for. "I knew I hired you for a reason, thanks sads" I said squeezing the red headed girl in a tight hug. "Okay that's enough go get ready", she shooed me off annoyed .

I quickly ran upstairs and took a quick shower. I slipped on a basic black dress with a slit and some heels. My feet are definitely going to hurt but I want to impress my costars. I don't know who else is in the movie yet besides the survivors from Scream 5 I'm guessing but I'm still not really familiar with the actors. I did some light makeup and put my hair in an updo. I grabbed everything I needed including my phone which happened to have 5 missed calls and 10 text messages from Sadie. Oops I guess my ringer was off.

"How do I look" I questioned Sadie as I walked out of my room posing. "Well you sure do clean up nice. I'm shocked". Sadie said with a serious look on her face, trying not to laugh at her own joke. "I can't say the same for you. Anyways I'm leaving now, are you staying here or leaving?" I quickly retaliate as I'm saying goodbye to Kenzie and grabbing my coffee Sadie made for me. Sadie looked as if she was debating with herself for awhile until she turned her attention to my wine collection. "I think I'll stay here until you get back" She replied with a smirk on her face causing me to roll my eyes. "Well make sure you lock up if you do leave and don't drink all my wine or you're fired ", I said in a strict tone as I walked out the front door. I quickly walk out to my convertible Mercedes Benz as the LA sun hit my skin and drive off towards the restaurant.

- At restaurant-

As I pull up to the restaurant there's a man waiting outside to collect my keys for valet. I guess Sadie was right about it being fancy. I toss him my keys making sure to tell him thank you and make my way inside the restaurant.

"Hello ma'am any reservations?" the host at the front asked. I didn't really know what to say so I just asked if there were any reservations for Tyler and Matt, the directors of the movie. She checked her list and said "right this way" as she led me to the back into a private room where I could hear talking and laughter. As I walked in I saw that the whole cast was there already so I must be late. I cursed myself for being late at my first time meeting them. Well that'll make a good first impression. There was only one seat left between a small brunette girl who looked familiar and a girl with curly hair.

"Ahhh Y/N you made it", Matt exclaimed as he got up to hug me. " Everyone I'm sure you already know who she is but we are so happy to announce that Y/N L/N will be joining the cast of Scream 6", He announced causing everyone to cheer and clap. I'm kind of awkward in these situations so I all could do was smile a little as I played with my hands. After everyone calmed down I went to take my seat between the brunette and the girl with curly hair, who I now know is Jenna Ortega and Jasmin Brown, after our introductions. I knew she seemed familiar. Sadie and I had just stayed up all night watching her new show Wednesday the other night. Once I sat down I was able to see how much prettier she is in person.

"Hey, I'm Jenna, even though I already said that" she laughed awkwardly has she stuck out her bad for me to shake. "Y/N." I laughed blushing a bit as I made contact with her hand. Her hands were so soft I didn't want to let go and her smile was the prettiest I've ever seen. "wow are you blushing from a hand shake?" she teased dropping her hand and raising her eyebrow causing me to blush more. "Sooo", I cleared my throat trying to change the subject, "I loved your show Wednesday, me and my friend Sadie can't stop talking about it". I could see Jasmin in the corner of my eye nodding in agreement with me.

"Thanks. It was really fun to shoot. I love your music. I heard this is your first time acting, how do you feel?" she smiled at me as she looked into my eyes. I swear it felt like she was looking into my soul.

"Thank you. I'm honestly nervous I don't want to mess up my lines or forget anything. Especially if I'm working alongside a pro like you" I said gaining confidence toward the end and slightly nudging in her the arm. I don't know what's going on with me. I'm usually always confident. Maybe it's just all the new people and this new experience. Before Jenna could respond Tyler cleared his throat getting everyone's attention.

"Okay everyone we plan on announcing the cast to the world today and tomorrow Jenna and Y/N have an interview with Jimmy Fallon. Since we haven't started filming yet obviously there won't be too many questions about what's going on in the movie only questions about what you have planned for the future and what you having going on. Then we'll start filming next week. Matt and I can't wait to embark on this journey with you guys and make THE BEST SCREAM MOVIE EVER!!", Tyler gave his speech as everyone toasted and cheered to what he said.

It was time for everyone to leave but I didn't want to leave Jenna just yet. Although I just met her there was something pulling me towards her and I didn't want to let go but good thing is I'll see her tomorrow. I hugged the entire cast goodbye while hugging Jenna just a little longer before I walked out to get my keys from the valet and started driving home with a certain brunette star on my mind.
