Regulus hated summers. But he hated that he missed Sirius more. Summers used to be fun, but now they were bleak and boring. His parents had constant meetings so he was left alone a lot. Kreacher was there though, and they played many games but every time Regulus won. Kreacher always let him, he knew.

Regulus would stand with his ear to the door sometimes when the two got back from meetings, just to hear something about what was happening. He was stuck in his room most of the time, the one time he was caught down stairs not specifically for meals, his mother sent him to his room. He could at least write letters, but he had to be safe about who he was sending them to; he could never know if his parents would look at them. So he sent letters to Barty and Evan, his friends from slytherin, but he couldn't communicate with Sirius or Maia. Despite being extremely sceptical about Maia at first, he was starting to like her. It made sense to him after getting to know her that she was his sister, he just wished he had the memories.

August 12th, 1976

The summer had been hot. Maia spent a lot of her time at the Potter's, it was a good break from having to deal with life. Effie and Monty loved to be around Louis, they had always wanted more children so they welcomed everyone with open arms. But the summer could not all be spent having fun, especially when you're in the order of the Phoenix.

Maia got her assignment with Frank and Alice, it was really good to see them again. Alice changed her hair from the last time she saw her, it was bleach blonde and shorter. Their mission was to stop an exchange of information that the order had received word of. The three spotted two hooded figures , they were not wearing the death eaters masks to blend in. But it was still easy to catch them as they wore long wizarding cloaks with hoods that obscured their faces. One handed the other what appeared to be a box that could fit a small item, before quickly disappearing around the corner and disapparating. The lone figure now holding the box however did not immediately disapparate luckily. The three order members would not be able to attack out in the muggle public. So they followed the figure around the streets of London, until Maia had an idea of where they were going.

"Shit." Maia stopped suddenly. They stood only one block from her childhood home.

"What?" Alice asked when Maia said nothing else.

"We need to go quick, that's Walburga or Orion," She said, snapping out of her haze and running to make sure they didn't leave her sight.

"As in your parents?" Alice asked, her and Frank right behind her.

"Yeah, the house is right there, we have to get them before they can get into the house." Maia pointed in between two buildings. 12 Grimmauld Place. It's been seven years since she stepped inside. "The wards won't let us in alone."

"Alone?"

Maia thought if it would be possible, simply grabbing them and apparating to a location to then take the box, but Maia knew, whomever it was, they would fight the apparition which could end in someone getting splinched. She thought about trying to grab the box and run, But it was not insight, the figure had placed it in their robes and Maia did not have time to rummage in their pockets without getting caught. "Yeah, I intend to drag her into that, get off the street." Maia looked back at them. "How's that for a plan?"

"It's not." Frank said, "But I'm in."

"We don't know who will be inside, but the Blacks rarely have visitors outside of the holidays." Maia said as they approached. The figure then turned around and the three hid behind a bush in the park across from the street.

Maia placed her index finger to her lips, signalling for them to be quiet, but then waved her hand for them to follow. The figure turned back to face the house and the three ran. Maia was first and just as she reached the figure, she could see the house coming into view as it popped up between 11 and 13. She silently placed one hand around the figure's head to clasp their mouth and with another hand she grabbed their right hand, the wand hand and roughly pulled them past the wards as Alice and Frank reached out to be pulled in as well.
