November was rapidly closing in as the October days went by, signified by the leaves completely disappearing from trees and the air becoming much, much colder than before.

While early October in Wellmane could still hit pretty warm temperatures, November was a complete 180° turn.

The blond boy bobbed his head up and down to the music playing out of Mara's car radio as the four friends sat near it on a bench at the exact same lake as a few weeks ago.

"And you're telling me you're friends," Cheryl deadpanned, staring right at her friend who simply nodded, as if that was the most obvious thing in the world. "And you're fucking. But you're still friends."

"Ever heard of friends with benefits?" Chevie retorted, grabbing a couple of gummy bears and sticking them into his mouth. "We fuck, yeah, so what's the big deal."

"The big deal is that you refused to go on a date with him because you see him as a friend and then you go and, like, stick his dick up your ass," Cheryl stated, rolling her eyes out of frustration. "And by god, Drake Emmett Ford, don't pretend like I didn't hear you sucking his cock in the staff room when I was on cashier duty."

"Not the full name! You wound me," he put his hand to his heart to emphasize dramatically, which earned Hayley's laugh. "I don't know, sex is just a completely different thing. You'd rather fuck someone, then stop fucking but still know them or date someone, break up but still know them? I think the choice is obvious."

"Speaking of dating," Hayley interrupted, leaning towards the others over the table. "You remember Leah's birthday party?"

"Oh how could I ever forget," Chevie answered with a monotone voice, digging in the plastic pack of gummy bears.

"You know what's weirder than Chevie punching Sev out like that?" Hayley asked rhetorically, shifting her gaze between all of her friends.

"Chevie sucking Adam's dick in the staff room?" Cheryl replied, stealing Drake's candy from his hands.

"Bitch, no, shut up, oh my god," Hayley pleaded. "It's Taylor Glisson. Sebastian's girlfriend."

"So what about her?" Mara asked, smacking Cher in the back of the head as the red haired girl accidentally elbowed her in the side.

"She was mad weird, man", the dark-skinned girl continued. "Seriously, what kind of girlfriend just kinda lets her boyfriend get his shit kicked in? And then she's not even worried? And then she's fine with him goin' home alone without a ride? As I said, mad weird."

The three other friends gave it a bit of thought and started nodding one after another.

"You're right, that is pretty weird," Cher commented, propping her head up with her arm on the table. "Like, not gonna lie, I had bad vibes about her. Maybe she's abusive?"

Mara snorted, but then covered her mouth with her hand. "Sorry."

"I honestly doubt it myself, but still, it was pretty strange behavior," Hayley added.

"Good thing we don't have to think about that anymore, because we won't be seeing him ever again," Chevie clapped before snatching the bag of gummy bears out of Cheryl's hands and snacking on a couple of them.

"That's exactly what you said before, Ford, and look what happened at the party," Mara noted. Chevie just shook his head in annoyance.

"That was just one time. There won't be another."
