As Super sonic was coming up to the next island two energy blasts were heading towards him as Sonic managed to dodge the first one then the second one hit "SONIC!" everyone shouted as Sonic crashed onto the island as the smoke started to leave everyone saw that Sonic was in his base form "Sonic?" Ruby questioned as he sat up "why are you in base form?" Asuka asked "where are the chaos emeralds?" Ochako questioned as Sonic looked up and saw that the chaos emeralds were floating in the sky before they scattered across the island "Nah, that's cool. I didn't want this to be easy anyways" he jokily complained "are you okay?" Imu asked "yeah, lucky my super form took the blast for me so only got a small headache" he commented "right that means no shouting unless needed got it everyone?!" Glynda told them as everyone agreed (minus Bakugou and Issei thankful they were still tied up) as Sonic looked around he saw that he was on the right island as he started to run around he see what he had to look out for on this island before his arm started act up but not in a painful way more it was giving him directions as he followed it before seeing someone unexpected a friend "Knuckles?" he commented.

and tried to punch him but it went through "some rescue, I'm still half ghost" Knuckles said "I'm working on it!" Sonic replied that what they didn't know was that Sage was watching them "what are you doing here anyways?" Sonic questioned Knuckles "I was investigating some strange ruins when I was transported here. Then got trapped" he replied "never a dull moment with you" Sonic stated with a smile on his face "just bring me up to speed" Knuckles told him "Listen, help me find the chaos emeralds so I can beat up some big robots. You'll be free and back to guarding the master emerald in no time" Sonic said as Knuckles was thinking before looking at sonic with smirk "sounds like a plan" Knuckles replied after he left while Sonic felt the pain for short bit "Sonic are you sure that you're alright?" Ruby questioned "yeah, just fighting off the pain from that cyber-energy" sonic replied "I'm gonna keep an eye on it as it starting to affect the link" Rossweisse commented "alright, keep me informed" Sonic replied after that he managed to find a gear and enter a cyber-space level.
After that and getting the digital keys he saw a light shooting into the sky "well their the first emerald" he commented before running towards it as everyone on Ruby world was looking forward to seeing this adventure continue however a small bit of fear was in Ruby as she was worried about his corrupted energy in him.
