「Mia's pov 」
I woke up to the sound of machines beeping.
I slowly opened my swollen eyes to see a blur of bright lights.
"She's awake!" A lady shouted as I heard multiple people get up from chairs. I felt someone grab my hand as tears started to form in my eyes.
"What's going on?" I somehow manage to choke out.
"You're in the ICU. You were hit by a drunk driver and haven't been awake since."
I stared at the nurse trying not to feel overwhelmed but that was impossible.
I felt my heart speed up as the heart monitor rhythm started to follow.
"You're okay hun. This lovely girl saved your life," The nurse said smiling at a girl who stepped forward.
"She called the ambulance and tied a piece of her shirt on your wound to stop the bleeding until we arrived."
"I'm just glad I could help. You were losing a lot of blood."
"Thank you so much." I said in a soft tone.
My eyes adjusted and started to focus on her. She was brunette with a bronzed tan and a really nice smile. My eyes widened as I noticed the blood all over her clothes.
"I'm going to check your vitals and after that you'll get a CT." The nurse said while getting her equipment.
"It's not like I'm going anywhere." The brunette smiled at my remark.
"What's your name?"
"Mia"
"I'm Evelyn. But you can call me Evie," She said while handing me a piece of paper.
"Here's my number. I have to head out unfortunately for an audition... If you could update me on how you're feeling."
"Sure, thank you again."
She gave me a smile and walked out of the room.
「 Vada's pov 」
"I have unfortunate news." My stomach dropped.
"Mia was involved in an accident. A drunk driver hit her and drove off. If you want to visit her I'll send you the address of the ER."
I paused for a few moments trying to process what this lady just told me.
"Is everything okay Vada?" Amelia said with concern.
"Okay send me the address I'm headed there now." I exclaimed and hung up the phone.
"Mia is in the hospital... we need to go now." I said trying my hardest not to shed a tear.
I can't lose her.
「Mia's pov 」
"Looks like you have a visitor." The nurse said while checking my blood pressure.
"Mia.." A familiar voice said.
I look at the door to see Vada and her sister who look like they've been running.
"Vada." I say tearing up while reaching out my free arm.
She grabbed my hand and kissed the top of my head.
"How are you feeling? Tell me everything." Vada demanded.
"I'm fine, seriously. I just lost a little blood."
"A lot of blood honey. You might need a blood transfusion." The nurse chimed in.
I turned to look at Vada who was visibly distraught. As well as her sister.
"It's nice to finally meet you." I said to Amelia.
"You really are as gorgeous as Vada always says you are." She geeked. Vada narrowed her eyes, clenched her jaw and took a hard swallow.
"That is so sweet guys." I responded. Vada sat down on the hospital bed with me and moved the red-stained hair out of my face.
"I really thought I lost you." She whispered. Her sensitive brown eyes piercing into mine.
"You can't get rid of me that easily." I grinned.
