MAX PEREZ: One Realm To Another

Chapter 7 - generic saviors

Max and Alex were at The Bean. "So why'd we come here? I'm pretty sure there are better places in this city," Alex asked. "Well, I think the stuff here's just as good for a price we can actually afford!" "Aren't you a regular here? That's probably just bias-" ''How did you know that?!" "My friend has a job here. He says he keeps seeing you at this seat every time." "Whatever." "Anyway, we should probably go order now. We came here for some drinks, didn't we?" They went up to the counter. Alex got a black coffee, and Max got "the usual." They went back to their table and talked for a bit. But then, Max's phone lit up with another notification from the object realm. "URGENT!!!," it read. "THEY'RE HERE!!! THE HACKERS." Max knew he had to help. "I have to go!" He quickly finished what was left of his latte and dashed out of the cafe. Then he went into the object realm.

When he got there, everyone was huddling into a van. Ace was outside, yelling "Everyone, into the van! It doesn't matter if you end up in the trunk, just get in!" Once everyone was in, Ace floored it and drove to what seemed like the middle of nowhere, but was where the hackers were reported to be.

And there they were. They were wreaking havoc on the plaza and seemed like they wanted to do more. In the surrounding area were hundreds, maybe thousands of objects with various weapons in hand. They were all trying their best, but the hackers wouldn't stop. The hackers looked just like any other object realmer, but something was just slightly off, so everyone could tell.

"Should we get out? It looks dangerous," Notepad wondered. "I mean, maybe. We have two demigods in this van, and Multi's got a laser gun," ID replied. "I say we just send those three out and hope for the best. Not like the rest of us know anything about fighting, nor is there a weapon we can use." And so, everyone decided to release Rose, Orchid, and Max.

"What the heck are you guys doing?! All that effort's futile, you know." The hackers were getting cocky. And suddenly, everyone began charging at them. "What the heck are you doing?! You've no business here," someone exclaimed in the crowd. Everyone was attacking the strange beings, but nothing seemed to work. "I told you guys, it's all futile." But then came Orchid and Rose's magic. And Max's laser gun. Orchid and Rose tried to smite them, but it didn't work. Then, Max remembered that his laser gun was a deadly laser. Maybe, even as deadly as the sun. He tried shooting them, and it worked. Sort of. "What the heck was that!?" No one could comprehend how that didn't kill them.

Someone yelled, "If a deadly laser won't kill him, what will?" Then, someone else had an idea. "I know this one's probably really cliché, but what if we collectively beat those guys up?" Everyone fell into a herd mentality at that moment. They all crowded onto the hackers, with there being some magic and even medieval weapons. Max repeatedly shot at them with his gun and did lots of damage. With everything combined, they managed to knock those hackers out cold. However, they were only unconscious, not gone. That was until Crystal Ball showed up.

"I sincerely, sincerely apologize for not being here earlier. I have no idea what got me so late! Anyway, let's get rid of these guys for good." And so, she proceeded to smite the hackers into oblivion. "Alright, all clear!" And everyone cheered. They had just cleared out a threat to the realm. After that, everyone went back to their homes.

On the news was a live speech from Crystal Ball. "Everyone, let's cheer. Let's cheer for the fact that we just kept the world from ending." And once again, everyone cheered for a moment. "Okay, that's enough cheering for one day. Anyway. I am so proud of you all for managing such a feat. After all, saving the world? That's something you only see in movies. But this realm is unstoppable. And that just goes to show that teamwork makes the dream work."
