Chapter 5

Nova POV
         It's been a couple of months now not much has changed. It was almost Christmas break now. Classes were boring but then again I didn't really pay attention especially in defense against the dark arts. Lupin and Black didn't bother me much. Lupin was friendly and usually asked me how I was or said have a good day when I left. Black tried to talk to me but ignored him or walked away. Potter was same as Lupin. He tried to have conversations with me at quidditch I gave him vague answers usually. I never went to Astronomy I always got the homework done so I wasn't failing that class.

We one the game against Slytherin it was a close game though. But Cedric caught the snitch. Wayne was injured though he broke his arm from a bludger. Madem poffrey said it heal in a couple weeks.

Are next game is with Ravenclaw before Christmas break. We had 2 days left till the game and everyone on the quidditch team had been on edge which had been hard and stressful.

Potter jr keeps trying to talk to me in classes. It's annoying today was the worse.

I'm Defense dark arts class-

I walked in and sat down potter was already there talking to Ron behind him about some stupid game called wizards chess.

He turned to me when I sat down  " hey Nova, how is your day going?"

I sighed " it's been fine?"

He smiled " that's good, mines been pretty good too. You doing anything fun for Christmas break?"

" no" I told him bluntly and looked away hoping get the hint to stop talking to me.

" why not, do you not celebrate Christmas at the orphanage?"

I flinched. The orphanage was a touchy subject when ever anyone brought it up. Flashbacks started to creep in my head I quickly pushed them away and took deep breath.

Potter looked concerned " everything okay?"

I nod " No I don't celebrate Christmas".

" why not, it's like one of the most brilliant holidays ever made!!"

" I just don't celebrate it"

" why not?"

" I just told you, now leave me alone before I hex you?" I threatened him.

I heard Lupin clear his throat and started talking about what we where going to learn today.

I ignored him and just started doodling a Demiguise one of my favorite creatures that I read about in fantastic beast and where to find them by newt scamander  on my scroll.

Potter whispered " that looks really cool!"

" thanks"

I could tell he was smiling " where did you lean to draw?"

I rolled my eyes " taught myself?"

" do you really not celebrate Christmas?"

Here we go again I thought I sighed " no, now leave it!"

" maybe you could spend Christmas with us and your father".

I clenched my jaw " he's not my father and no. Leave me alone do you understand. "

Mr Lupin spoke " Mr Potter and Miss Black detention after school. Your disrupting my class."

I turned and glared at potter who turned pink. I looked over at Sirius who looked at me he gave me a small smile which I just ignored. I listened the rest of the class finally potter left me alone.
