The unwanted Girl

Chapter 9

( ⚠️ warning - nightmares and swearing)

Nova POV
   I rubbed my brain trying to get my head to stop aching. I payed my head on the desk. I haven't slept in a week  because of the nightmares. Iv had to put a silent charm my bed so no one could hear my screams at night: I made sure to put the charm on my bed after the feast.

I kept to myself this week. I ignored everyone really unless I had to answer. I Gave everyone usually blunt bland answers. I could tell Luna and Neville was worried about me but I kept telling them I was fine and gave them a fake smile. Like that saying fake it till you make it right lol?

I could tell the golden trio was watching me it was annoying. They aren't as inconspicuous as they think they are, especially Weasley.  That kid is an open book and literally can't hide anything. Potter has been acting different too. He hasn't been bothering me to much. Then there is Granger who  has been trying to talk to me in the library but I usually just ignore her.

The professors keep giving me worried looks but I just keep my peace I'm not in the mood to fight with anyone especially Professor Potter and Lupin who keep asking me if I'm alright. It has been getting annoying but it's not like I can make them shut up some how or disappear without going to Azkaban or be expelled.

I heard some yelling  my name.

" MISS BLACK??"

I jumped awake startled and looked to see at professor Black was ln front of my desk. I rubbed my head. I must have fallen asleep. Where the fork was I? I looked around to see I was in DADA. Everyone was looking at me. Potter looked at me with worry.

" Nova??" Professor black looked at me with concern.

I looked at them both trying to control my breathing. I cleared my throat " Hmm" I finally was able to control myself before having a panic attack " oh um sorry Professor I didn't mean to fall asleep."

Professor black frowned and Lupin spoke from the front of the class." I'd like to speak to you after class miss black. Now everyone pay attention this will be on tomorrows test."

Professor Black gave me a nod before he went to the front of the class. I sighed. It's not like I meant to.

Potter passed me his notes with a piece of parchment saying " you can copy off my notes" with a small smily face by it.

I looked at him squinting. What's he trying to do. Make me look like a cheater and get me in trouble. Is this some sort of trick.

He looked at me and sighed and whispered " I'm just trying to help"

I looked back at his notes and took them and copied them down as fast as I could. While professor Lupin was occupied trying to explain something to Seamus who asked him a stupid question.

The bell rang when I finished with the last sentence. I handed it back to potter and spoke softly not meeting his eye " thank you."

He looked at me with wide eyes like he heard me say something shocking. He cleared his throat and said " don't mention it, I'll see you around." Gave me small smile before leaving.

I sighed and packed up my stuff.
I was about to leave when Lupin called out " Miss Black I'd like a word with you remember?"

I took a deep breath " right" mumbling" I was hoping you'd forget" making sure they didn't hear that part. I turned around and went to his desk. Where Lupin was sitting and Sirius was standing by him.

" have a seat" he motioned me to sit in front of him.

I sat down and put my hands in my lap not looking at him.
