"We need to get them in a hospital at once Dorothy don't you see them!? They need help at once can't you see them in pain!? You couldn't even be with them when they need you the most! They cant be isolatedhere forever. " Y/n's father argued with his wife.

"What makes you say that!? You weren't there for them either what difference does that make!?" Y/n's mother argued back.

"You show no interest in this marriage at all and especially to our two children!" Y/n's Father spat.
"I never wanted to get married to you, I never wanted to have kids with you. I never wanted this relationship to begin with" Dorothy says while walking  to a window.

"I never even wanted to be here." Y/n's mother leaves the room.
"Dorothy, Dorothy!" Y/n's father calls out his wife.

A child looks through the door watching the whole argument, and that child was no other than Y/n l/n.
The 12 year old child was holding their little sister S/n who was still merely a baby.

The child couldn't help but quietly sob to themselves. They already knew their parents didn't truly love eachother. Y/n knew too much for their own age, learning to do everything on their own without help, teaching themselves how to take care of their baby sister, and learning how the world really works.

The next day y/n was sent to the hospital.

Y/n just stares at the window wishing to live like a normal kid like in books. Y/n couldn’t help but to worry about their sister.

Y/n felt so weak, having a disease that hasn't gotten a cure yet stresses them even more. Why does it have to be them?

"Hey kid stop crying like that" a nurse goes in the room. They had dark blue shoulder length hair and blue eyes to match and under their right eye they had two beauty marks.

Y/n looks at them questionly tilting their head to the side adding to the affect. "Um.. what does leaves feel like?" Y/n says trying to break the silence.

"Leaves? Odd question, it feels different everytime so I can't really say. But leaves come in different forms, different shapes and different colors." The nurse look at them.

Y/n looks away trying not to make eye contact with the lady. "Nari" the lady spoke up. "What?" The little y/n trying to figure out why they said that "my name is Nari it means lily, or atleast my mothe- father said. What's your kid?" Nari said while opening the window to give Y/n fresh air.

"My name is y/n.."  Y/n holds the  seam on their hospital gown. "So Y/n how was home like" the 23 year old woman asks the 12 year old.

The child looks away remembering how lonely it was. "That bad huh? Well kid this place will be your second home, I'll try my best to make it enjoyable for you" the woman promised the kid.

Y/n smiled "it was pretty lonely back home, I haven't gone outside before" y/n admitted looking at the floor. "You won't be lonely anymore I'll be here kid, I'll keep you company for the rest of your life kay?" The adult say while sliding their arm to their shoulder.

Y/n smiles at them warmly, someone who actually cared for once its a good feeling.

"Hey kid I got you something" Nari say opening the door.

Y/n sat up their bed looking at Nari with a small smile.
"Here's a cup of hot chocolate kid" Nari says while handing them a small cup of hot chocolate. "Another thing I got you is this flower, it's called a hydrangea! Isn't it pretty?" Nari smiles as they placed the small vase with a very small hydrangea.

"It's pretty small and it doesn't look like a flower" y/n says while sipping their hot chocolate. "That's because it's still a little seedling kid, promise me this try to grow this baby until your really old Kay?" Nari said confusing y/n.

"Why?" Y/n asked the adult "because you'll see it develop along side you, as the plant grows you grow. Plus a small activity could help your mental health ya know" Nari smiles at Y/n

__________two years__________

"Hey Y/n let me show you this game called genshin impact its quite fun if you ask me" Nari shows their game to y/n.

"Woah who's that girl with pink hair?" Y/n asked "that's kokomi! isn't she pretty?" Nari says while one-shoting the Pyro hypothesis with kokomi.

"You could always play with me kid just give me your tablet" Nari suggested.

"Yes please!" Y/n hugs Nari from behind.

Just like that they played together everyday when Nari had time.

The hydrangea grew larger and was very pretty.

_______5 years later_______

Nari was devastated.

Their favorite person passed it was painful to them. Y/n was gone forever.
Days have passed Nari wasn't their self anymore, she felt like Y/n's mother. 7 years had past when they first met, it really had been a long time. They couldn't look at somethings the same without thinking of their patient.. no.

Their child.

Nari fell into a deep depression, the hydrangea wilted. It took 7 years.
Nari never felt the same, they couldn't do tasks on their own.
nari now lives on their own and has quit their job.

Being on the medical field reminds her of them. Nari is 30 now and y/n was 19.

Y/n didn't reach their birthday, they died earlier before it. Now Nari is celebrating it, alone.
