A week and 3 days had passed
since the death of Y/n L/n.

It was a rainy night, and Nari was near a pond in a park they frequently went

Nari ate a simple apple and sat on the bench. This park used to be the place Nari brought Y/n to.

Y/n loved the daisies near the small pond in this very park.

Nari used to go here with y/n in their wheelchair to get fresh air and enjoy the scenery.
But it's now just a memory.

It has felt lonely ever since they left. Y/n was the only thing motivating Nari to go to work besides getting paid.

Silly isn't it? How could one person ruin who you are now?

Nari grabs an item in their paper bag revealing a bag of bread. Soon birds flew near their view, mostly pigeons and crows nearby. Nari pinches the bread and distributes it to the hungry birds. Their 10 years of service in the medical field has made them loaded.

This was an activity they always did before.

"Hey kid it's that time of the week!"
A familiar gentle yet deep voice opened the door to see a very excited kid ready to go outside and breathe in the fresh air.

They did this weekly after their health was more stable. It was one of their favorite activities besides taking care of their flower in the room and playing a game with Nari.

"Nari!" Y/n ran towards Nari with their arms raised ready to hug their favorite nurse.

"Woah! Y/n be careful you can't walk for long distances, your small legs aren't helping either." Nari holds up little y/n ready to put them in their wheelchair.

"Let's go now, onwards little Y/n let's go to the park!" Nari pushes the wheelchair with y/n to the elevator.
"So kid what do you want to do?"

"Is it ok if we get ice cream?" The young Y/n asked their loving guardian.
"Of course N/n we can have any dessert that we have access to!" Nari smiles at Y/n.

The elevator descends to the lobby
And the door opens revealing the amazing duo Y/n l/n and Nari Robin.

"Oh? Leaving so soon? Isn't it a bit cold It is Christmas Harper dear?" A soothing angelic voice of a middle-aged woman interrupts the two from exiting the hospital.

"Selene! Don't call me by my middle name!" Nari clearly embarrassed by a woman called Selene, a person who works as a receptionist in the hospital.

"I already got their coat so no need to be worried Selene. Besides I'm sure Y/n is safe with me." Nari says not looking at Selene's eyes.

"You've gotten softer, back in college you were so cold Nana~" Selene chuckled to themselves while staring at Nari's face up close.

"Yeah yeah I'm going bye!" Nari rushes through the door with Y/n
"Who was that woman? She had pretty hair it reminded me of warm dandelions, why did she call you Nana? Are you close?" Y/n asks about the blondie with short flyaway hair.

"She's just my old classmate, don't believe what she says about me! Her cute blonde hair that's tied with an adorable red ribbon that complements it, her lightly tanned soft skin, her blue ocean eyes, and her cute smile... it's all deceiving so don't listen to her when she talks about me!" Nari explains to y/n.

Y/n stares at Nari weirdly "Alright no more questions we are here kid" Nari sets Y/n on the bench.

"The daisies are gone now" y/n looks down to the pile of snow where the flowers used to be. "N/n their coming back after winter don't worry" Nari puts their arm on their shoulder.

"Are you sure what if they don't ?" Y/N looks down a bit gloomy. "I just know it, buddy." Nari reassures Y/n.

"Nana? There you are! I was so worried you disappeared, why didn't you answer my calls?" A familiar soft voice snaps Nari from their mind.

"Oh hey Selene," Nari looks away from them. "You idiot! You worried me so much you disappeared for five whole days! I was so worried. It's so cold out why are you just wearing a shirt in the rain!?"

Selene removes her cardigan and places it on Nari. "I know you miss them. Please let me help you Nana." Selene grabs their cheeks, making Nari look at her.

Nari tears up and sobs on Selene's chest. "I miss them so much...I'm so sorry Sele...it's all my fault I didn't watch them..I was so reckless I wasn't there for them" Selene hugs Nari tightly knowing it was hard for them to lose the person they took care of for years.

"Nana stop blaming yourself. You couldn't do anything" Selene grabs their face once again. "So, please look up."

Nari looks up to see Selene's blue eyes. "I'm kinda wet"

"What the fuck?!"

"Selene we are literally outside in the rain" Nari chuckled a bit. "Shhhh" Selene's face slowly gets engulfs with a scarlet hue.

"I love you Sele" Nari blunts out smiling a bit. Selene looks at Nari with wide eyes.

"Nana!!" Selene hugs Nari tightly.

It was a nice moment for once.
Until a loud cough came out of Nari.

"Nana?" Selene stopped hugging Nari and looked at them. "Augh.." Nari continues coughing uncontrollably.
Until a purple liquid was coughed out.

"Nana isn't that a sign of..."

It was a sign of the same disease Y/n had.

I'm still testing out different writing styles so it may change a bit every chapter
I do plan making different bonus stories from the original world y/n lived so they are placed as bonus stories.

Plus it's nice to know what's happening outside the isekai.
They make y/n backstory so interesting or sad and give no context what is happening to the people they used to know or what happened after they died or disappearance.
