Personality; Rio is often seen as a shy, soft spoken girl, rarely talking to those she doesn't know, it's no wonder she gained the title; "Silent Butterfly" in her figure skating career. Though when comfortable and around those she trusts she can be as many like to call it "a feral raccoon" she's easily excitable, impulsive, and childish around those she trusts.

Friends; Yaku Morinosuke- The now third year was one of the first people to befriend Rio once she became the manager for the team, the two came pretty close pretty quickly. Kenma Kozume- The two have a (literally) unspoken bond between the two, they get along and are often seen huddled up together playing video games or watching cat videos. Iris Hanase- Iris was one of the only people she actually talked to in her first year of highschool, the girl didn't seem to mind that Rio was a model, and saw her as a normal person, just what Rio wanted. Kohaku Fumihiro- Him being her closest sibling, Rio has a close bond to her brother, she feels as if she could tell him anything and everything and she does.

Backstory; Rio grew up in an almost broken household, her mother and father were going through a divorce when she was the age of 5. This is because her mother came home pregnant with another man's child. She was in the midst of it with her brothers, the two trying to fight over custody for their children. During this time Rio seemingly had no friends, no social life, even if she was a smaller kid. She became reserved and couldn't seem to have much fun. When her parents finally did divorce, her father had got custody of his biological children. Now Rio was the only girl in the house, it was difficult for her at first but she eventually got used to it. Years later Rio had seen her first ever figure skating show, amazed and obsessed she urged her father to get her into lessons, it didn't take long for her to learn, at the age of 11, she was better than most girls her age. Innocent and small they had decided to get her into a competition, her being the youngest and getting third place. She was ecstatic about it getting on the media. Years later after competing for a while at the age of 13 she was offered a chance to become a model for youth figure skating, of course she took it becoming a child model. At first it was amazing, all the attention she got, the love, the fame everything. Anywhere she went there would be magazines with her face on it, people who recognized her. Rio felt like she was the top of the world, that is until her first year of high school. Seeming everyone knew who she was, nonstop letters, nonstop borderline harassment and she just couldn't seem to get away from it. Because of this she hid herself in a shell and kept to herself for the majority of the school year. Until one faithful day she decided that she would become a manager, of course becoming the manager of the Nekoma volleyball team.

Trivia; Rio wants to try out pairs figure skating but is too anxious to ask anyone. Rio got Blossom when she was 10. Rio would never admit this out loud, but she'd rather be neglected than go out in public without a mask. Rio is absolutely spoiled by her dad.
