Isolation room. 9 am. 22nd February 2019.
The first time in a while that Taeyong had turned up to school on time.
9 am when he'd turned up to school, eyes blood shot and hair a surprisingly normal shade of ash blonde. He had his head lowered in remorse as soon as he silently entered the room.
The only other person in the room was Doyoung, who was silent too.
"I hate y-you so fucking much" After what felt like hours, Taeyong spoke in a wobbly voice, his bottom lip quivering and eyes filling with shiny tears "I really do"
"I hate you too" Doyoung casually replied as he looked up, opening his arms so that Taeyong could run into them "In fact I hate you more"
Doyoung subtly opened his legs so Taeyong could craw onto his lap and curl into his chest, breathe in his scent like it was his oxygen, sob on his shoulder while he gripped his clothes like they were his safety blanket. Because they were.
"It's okay you silly fairy boy" Doyoung softly hummed while slowly stroking Taeyong's pale hair, snaking an eager arm around his thin waist "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay"
"Don't shout at me again you bastard" Taeyong quietly whimpered as he leant in closer to Doyoung, their noses touching, shaky hot breath fanning against chapped lips "Or I'll shout at you and and and you won't like it!"
"Alright fine I won't shout at you again you little cry baby" Doyoung sighed, his eyes fluttering as Taeyong gently nuzzled his jaw "I promise you"
"You promise?" Taeyong smiled cheekily even though his face was still shiny with tears "People promise shit everyday, saying you promise doesn't mean you'll pull through"
"Then what?" Doyoung deadpanned as he dried Taeyong's face "Do you want me to bring you the moon to show you that I mean it or something?"
"You could do that" Taeyong shrugged before tilting his head to the side Kiss me"
Doyoung rolled his eyes slightly, leaning forward until his lips connected with Taeyong's. The smaller wrapped his arms around Doyoung's neck, smiling as the taller pressed their warm lips together. Taeyong slid his fingers lower, down Doyoung's chest, flicking his tongue while his hands came to rest on the raven haired boy's belt buckle.
Needless to say, Doyoung slapped the boys wandering hands off who laughed, holding them up in surrender. The taller grinned back, fondly pinching Taeyong's cheek before giving his ass a small pat "Right fairy boy, time to do your work"
For the next couple of hours, Taeyong and Doyoung were extremely productive, much to Doyoung's unadmitted surprised. Taeyong was like an obedient little lamb, sitting on Doyoung's lap and swinging his legs in a docile manner while working through the tasks his teachers had set him.
At lunch time, he stood up and stretched like a cat, groaning in satisfaction "Alright, I'm going for a walk, I can't stand being in the same as room as you any longer"
"Good, I'm sick of the sight of you" Doyoung replied in a bored voice while pulling his phone out of his pocket "Don't be long now fucker"
"I'll be 15 minutes tops you dumb prick" Taeyong giggled and started to strut off before he suddenly froze as if remembering something important "Doyoung?"
"What do you want now, fairy boy?" the taller questioned suspiciously.
In return the boy, patted Doyoung's trouser pocket, the one containing his wallet.
"What for?" the taller asked with narrowed eyes.
"Vending machine" Taeyong replied with a grin "Gimme!"
The taller grumbled under his breath, eventually reaching into his pocket, pulling out a couple of bills and handing them into Taeyong's eagerly outstretched hand who jumped up and down giddily.
"Thank youu!"
"Yeah yeah, just fuck off already"
Taeyong gave Doyoung's cheek a quick peck then skipped out happily to which the taller clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes before returning to his phone.
A couple of moment's later, the door creaked open and the dark haired boy looked up in confusion, wondering why Taeyong had returned so soon.
But it wasn't Taeyong.
The cat like eyes, long black hair, neat uniform. It was the vice captain of the class, a girl named Hwayoung that Doyoung thought he knew well. Although they weren't friends they spent a lot of time in each others company due to their school duties.
Hwayoung's name meant a beautiful flower. Doyoung never really liked flowers. He found them to be too colorful, too sweet smelling and too common. He preferred the humble strength and honesty of the oak tree
"Hwayoung?" Doyoung nodded in acknowledgment "Is something wrong?"
"Hey, no nothing's wrong" she replied, letting out a breathy laugh as she moved further into the room, not even bothering to shut the door "I just wanted um, check up on you since you've been locked away in this room with Taeyong all this time" she spoke with distaste.
"What do you mean, check up on me?" he slightly frowned in irritation, tucking his phone away.
"Oh, you know just having to be in the same room as that weirdo for so long" she laughed, flipping her hair over her shoulder "You were probably going half crazy yourself"
"Taeyong isn't a weirdo" Doyoung clenched his fists in anger trying so hard not to lose his cool "Not even close"
"Doyoung" she scoffed in disbelief "He's a complete nutcase, I mean, have you seen the sight of him. He's an outsider, he doesn't belong with people like you and me. Normal, good people like us belong together" her voice became softer as she stepped closer to him "Don't you think so?"
"If I'm honest, I'm not sure where I belong" Doyoung replied, eyes burning with fury "But I sure as hell don't belong with you. I can't believe you Hwayoung. You're the real nutcase, not Taeyong. You make me sick and I pray to God to have pity and mercy on a wretch like you"
Hwayoung jumped back in pain, as if she had just been bitten by a poisonous king cobra. She blinked slowly a couple of times as if she was trying to comprehend what had just happened.
"I'm baaaack..." Taeyong sang before trailing off in confusion "Oh. Sorry, did I interrupt something? I can leave if you wa-"
"It's fine" Hwayoung cut Taeyong off sharply, taking several deep breaths as she gathered her bearings "I was just leaving"
"Oh" Taeyong shrugged "Okay"
Hwayoung walked, but soon halted in front of Taeyong, staring at him long and hard before speaking to him in a condescending tone "Nice hair"
"Thanks!" Taeyong beamed "Just did it last night. As for your hair......nice split ends they suit you"
She gasped but didn't have a chance to reply as Taeyong shoved her out of the room and slammed the door shut in her face.
"Wonder who murdered her pet hamster" he spoke thoughtfully before throwing a packet of crisps at Doyoung "Wait! It was you, wasn't it? Admit it now. Admit it and maybe I'll go easy on you. Come on now, out with it!"
Okay, so maybe Taeyong was a total nutcase.
But Doyoung wouldn't have it any other way, not for all the money in the world.
