12:00am. Doyoung's house. 3rd May 2019.

After talking to the children, Doyoung took a deep breath and entered his house. He took off his shoes and hoped his Father wouldn't be home but as usual all hope was lost.

"Dongyoung?" his father squinted in the half light of the room, then let out a cold laugh "What the fuck happened to your hair?"

"I dyed it" Doyoung replied shakily, trying to stand up straight when all he wanted to do was shrink into himself.

"You look like a gay boy" his father spat before his eyes clouded with realization "That's what you are. You'll never be a man. You're pathetic and I couldn't be more ashamed."

"I am a man" Doyoung quietly answered with his head lowered in shame, his heart felt as if it was on fire, skin feeling as if it was being slashed open.

"Well if you're so brave now, why don't you answer a few of my questions" the man smirked coldly "The neighbours have been talking Doyoung. I've been.....hearing things about you. Like the fact, you've been going into the woods with that ragamuffin Lee kid with the rainbow hair. What've you been doing in the woods, Doyoung?"

Silence.

"Is he the one who did this to your hair, hmm?" his father sneered, his gaze cutting into Doyoung "Is he the reason the neighbours are telling me they don't want their kids near you anymore? Is that the reason Hwayoung's father told me that he doesn't want you near his daughter?"

Silence.

"ANSWER ME BOY" his father yelled, making Doyoung jump and step back.

"See? That's all you are. A pathetic little gay boy who thinks he's all grown up" the man continued, getting out of his chair and slowly taking steps towards Doyoung "I will always control you. I will always own you. I am your Father until the day you die, and you will never ever escape me"

When Doyoung heard those poisonous words, something inside him snapped. He looked up, eyes filled with fire, hands clenching into hard fists.

"You're not my Father" Doyoung growled, squaring up to the man "You, Kim Minjun, have never been my Father"

A father is someone who cared for you, taught you things and loved you no matter what. Minjun had never done any of those things and Doyoung doubted he ever would.

"You killed your own, Mother. You've got her blood on your hands" Minjun's face hardened and he took a step forward too "You're a murderer"

"NO I DIDN'T" Doyoung screamed, grabbing Minjun by the throat and slamming him into the floor "NO I'M NOT, I'M NOT A MURDERER. I DIDN'T KILL HER"

Minjun writhed on the floor, as he scratched at the hands locked around his throat that were tighter than a vice, gasping like a fish out of water. Doyoung's hands pulled the man up before slamming him back into the ground, the sound of Minjun's head thudding onto the floor would haunt him much later on in life.

Suddenly the living room door swung open, revealing Taeyong who gasped in horror, his hands flying up to his mouth "Doyoung what are you doing?! STOP!"

"I c-can't" the taller wailed, tears running down his sweaty face "I'm not a m-murderer, I didn't k-kill her"

"Of course you didn't, Doyoung" Taeyong started to cry, tears running down his face too as he watched Minjun's lips turning blue and his face slowly turn the colour of plums "Let go of him, dammit!"

Doyoung growled out, fighting an internal battle. So long, so long he had waited to stand up to this bastard. To show him he was a man, show him he had worth. And now he had found Taeyong, learnt to love himself, learnt that he was indeed worth all the money on earth. He was special and loved. He wanted to show Minjun, make him pay for ruining his life.

"Doyoung I love you, you're not a murderer" Taeyong sobbed "Show him! You're not a murderer, so let go. Let go, Doyoung"

The taller boy began to shake, like an erupting volcano before slamming Minjun into the floor one more time and letting go, panting like a dog with his hands either side of his body.

Taeyong ran to him, burying his head in Doyoung's chest "You did it, Doyoung. You did it"

Doyoung arms around the smallers frame and they cried together while Minjun coughed and wretched on the floor, body slithering like a snake on the floorboards.

"I wanna leave here" Doyoung sniffled when he calmed down a little bit "I want to leave this house"

"B-but Doyoung, this is your home" Taeyong cried, his makeup running in inky rivers down his cheeks.

"You're my home, Taeyong" the taller laughed, tears still pouring "Home is where you are. I wanna spend the rest of m-my life with you. Let's leave this place"

The pair helped each other stand up and the taller pressed his lips to Taeyong's forehead gently before telling him to go upstairs and fetch a few things for him. After the smaller was gone, Doyoung looked down at the man laying dazed on the floor.

"I pity you" Doyoung spoke clearly, he wasn't scared anymore. He saw Minjun for who he really was. A sad, sad old man. "I really do. I could've killed you if I wanted to but that's not who I am. I am not a murderer"

Minjun didn't say anything just gazed up at the boy, no the man in front of him.

"I forgive you" Doyoung whispered.

Then he left with Taeyong and he never ever went back.
