Gracie walked confidently up to the Villa and knocked in the door smiling at the red headed woman who answered and asked to speak to Bucky.
"What's happening gorgeous" Sam greeted as she entered. Gracie smiled slightly and turned her attention to Bucky.
"Bad news I'm afraid Laurie has had to go to New York she asked me to express her regrets and say she love see you again if you come back to the island in the future."
"New York?" He stared at her blankly.
"Yeah. I'm afraid her husband needs her to help with some business" she continued.
"Why are you lying?" Wanda asked her head cocked at an angle as she tried to read the woman's mind. All she could see was a mist covering her past.
"I'm not lying she's gone back to Kirk. Why did you think she had his clothes in her room Bucky?" Gracie laughed stepping towards the door.
"Going somewhere?" Loki asked appearing behind her he grabbed her arm and touches her forehead and saw an image of Laurie in a cryogenic tube. "And where is that darling?" He growled a dagger at her throat. Grace just snorted and leaned into the dagger.
"Do it Laufeyson." She smirked. Wanda walked up to her and raised an eyebrow.
"She's in the hospital here. Steve they are all in on it"" Wanda announced reading Grace. "She's not her sister she's her guard." As Gracie tried to impale herself on Lokis blade Barnes grabbed her hair and pulled her backwards
"You are going to tell me everything or these two," He motioned to Loki and Wanda are going to find it out for me."
"Eat Shit" she smirked and froze as Wanda held out a hand freezing her in place.
"Look now" she ordered and Loki leaned towards the woman and stepped back a look of shock in his face as he recognised his mothers handi work. Who ever Laurie was she had been very important to Frigga. Quickly he stripped the woman in front of hims mental barriers. Like Laurie it seemed, she was Asgardian.
"Bow down before your Princes" He growled as Thor towered over her.
"Start talking" Thor ordered resting a hand on Wanda to signal her to let the woman they had caught go. Gracie fell to her knees. Shaking her head she began to speak.
"Lauries real name is Linnea she was a Valkyrie. Her mind was crushed fighting in one of Odins senseless wars and the Queen decided to give her the life she should have had but here on earth. She was a teacher and a healer but Odin commanded she lead her troop on a suicide mission and she was the only one found alive but she had been horribly tortured. If you take Friggas spell away there is no guarantee she won't revert to the mess she was before."
"The Linnea?" Thor growled "but she died a hero" Gracie just shook her head. "Burr is Asgardian but everyone else has been compelled into the roles your mother set for them. Swaro is no more a drugs dealer than I am, he was the islands doctor before we changed him. Most of the other island occupants are in the same situations they were before but they just believe this place belongs to Laurie." Gracie paused "I mean Linnea" Thor stopped Loki just in time to prevent him from decapitating the Asgardian.
"You will do as we order you" Loki growled still wanting to kill the woman in front of him.
"I've got her" Nats voice sounded in Barnes ear and he felt relieved. He didn't really know Laurie but their relationship had been so intense and passionate so far he didn't want to let her go. He wanted to meet the real her. Stark ran a sensor over the woman laying on the villas couch frowning as his AI informed him she was indeed not human but Asgardian.
"Hey you" Barnes smiled softly as Laurie slowly opened her eyes. "How are you feeling?" Laurie simply blinked t him and moved the soft blanket closer to her as she tried to figure out what was going on. The last thing she remembered had been sitting down to do paperwork and Gracie coming into the room. "You're safe" he began as he saw the fear forming in her eyes as he reached to move the hair out of her eyes Laurie shrank back from him her eyes full of fear. "Doll" he began
"Who are you? " Barnes felt his heart break as he heard the fear in her voice "where am I?"
"Your in your villa" Romanoff pushed Barnes out of the way and knelt next to her. "Please don't be scared we are here to look after you" Laurie pushed herself further back into the cushions visibly shaking. Slowly Nat stood up and crossed the room to where Barnes had retreated. "We need a doctor but we can't trust anyone on this island we need to get her back to the compound. I think Thor and Loki need to talk to her"
"T-t Thor?" Swallowing Laurie sat up her face pale and eyes wide "no! he's the cause of all of this! no!" Barnes immediately moved back to her side and Laurie did something completely unexpected and punched him hard in the chest knocking the super soldier down and bursting off of the sofa and out of the door.
