Clover panted from the heat of the hot sunny day, even under the shaded area it was still as hot as it is in the sun. She leaned against Demetri as he leaned on Sam
"Oh, God! It's so hot out. I'm sweating in places I didn't even know I had pores."Demetri says, Clover's face distorts into a disgusted one and leans into Robby instead. Sam had also pushed Demetri off of her as well.
"All right, guys. Get out from under that tree. It's time to get to work." Mr LaRusso says, walking into the back of Miyagi Do.
"Hey, Mr.LaRusso, it's like 100 degrees out. Can we take it easy today?" Robby asks.
"Are you kidding? This heatwave is a gift. Today, you are going to experience Shochu-Geiko." Mr LaRusso replies.
"Like the car insurance?" Chris says, from behind her.
"Shochu-Geiko is a Japanese exercise where you train during the hottest days of the year. It's about pushing yourself to your limit. The fight isn't always going to come when it's 75 degrees and breezy." Mr LaRusso explains to them.
"Aren't we supposed to avoid fighting?" Sam speaks up
"Sometimes, you can't. Someday, the fight may come to you. And I wanna make sure you're ready. So, today, we're gonna see what Miyagi-Do is made of." Mr LaRusso says confidently.
They all get given a number, Clover was given the number 7. They stood in a circle around Robby.
"7" Mr LaRusso calls, Clover walks out of the circle on offence but Robby is quick to retaliate. He helped Clover off the floor, patting her shoulder.
"5" Mr LaRusso calls next. Sam comes up straight away and gets him.
"Got you" She says, Clover chuckles.
"Demetri's turn, come on Demetri get in there" Mr LaRusso says
"Ready set, 3!" Mr LaRusso says, Demetri is immediately hit by Chris
"Sorry Meat, you gotta block that" Chris apologies
"6" He calls, Demetri's legs is immediately sweeped
"Aw I hate this" Demetri groans
"Alright come get up" Mr LaRusso says
"Can we please take a break, this heat is brutal" Sam asks her dad
"You guys want to cool off, All right I think I can accommodate to that" Mr LaRusso says
"Mr LaRusso" Clover tries to say. Slowly she starts falling, Robby quickly runs to her as she passes out. Sam and Chris help Robby get Clover somewhere cooler. Robby starts shaking her
"Clover come on wake up" Robby shakes, Clover slowly opens her eyes, ragaining consciousness.
"Robby..." Clover says slowly
"Hey you alright?" He asks me, concern written all over his face. Slowly she sits up
"Hey, hey take it easy" Robby says, he then hands her some water.
They soon after made their way to a freezer, Clover then started shivering
"So, you couldn't take the heat of Shochu-Geiko, perhaps, you'll find Kangeiko more to your liking." Mr. LaRusso says, all of them shivering of the coldness
"Are there are no "geikos" that takes place in a spa?" Sam asks
"Oooo that'd be nice" Clover sighs.
"No, it's not about the heat or the cold. It's about adapting to the environment around you and using that to your advantage. Look around, what do you see?" Mr LaRusso asks
"Frozen London broil." Chris answers
"No, not the meat, look past that. I see the exhalation of breath. The twitch of a muscle. The shift of a stance. If you lean into the cold, it will heighten your senses. And then you'll anticipate the moment before your opponent strikes. And you'll always be ready. Yeah. All right, circle up." Mr LaRusso says as he looks at his phone.
They were given a new number, Clover now getting the number 4. Sam is in first she defeats Chris then it's Robby, Clover looks between the two she could tell they like each other or are together. Demetri was in next.
"Let's get Demetri in there." Mr LaRusso says next
"All right, here goes nothing. Literally." Demetri mumbles
"Set. Six." Mr LaRusso says, Demetri is kicked straight away once again
"Come on, Demetri. Look for the signs. Anticipate, you can do this. All right, focus. Come on, Demetri." Mr LaRusso encourages
"Oh you come one" Demetri says irritated
"I can't do it, Mr LaRusso. Between the cold and the shouting and the hole in my sock, I'm not sure when that happened, but it's real uncomfortable."Demetri continues
"Demetri, you are the most neurotic person that I know. You always expect the worst. But you could use that to your advantage. It means you anticipate. Think of it like a Spidey-Sense." Mr LaRusso says, walking up to Demeri
"Actually, in the comics, they call it, "Spider-Sense." Demetri interrupts
" Look, Demetri, this isn't about who's fastest and who's strongest. This is about instincts. It's about using what's in here. You think you could do that? All right. Let's try it again. Remember, anticipate." Mr LaRusso continues, ignoring Demetri's comment
"Four" Mr LaRusso calls, Clover goes towards him to punch the blocks, then hits me under the ribs.
"Whoo! I did it!"Demetri celebrates, and Clover high-fives him
"Five." Mr LaRusso calls, but he immediately gets kicked
"Okay, that's okay. Baby steps. Baby steps, right? Yeah. Mmm-hmm." Mr LaRusso says, convincing him
"Good job, bro." Everyone crowds around him, congratulating him.
After training Clover saw a message from the roller rink, they said that she got the job. Clover jumped up and down on the spot in excitement. Clover makes her way to Moon's house.
"Moon!" Clover yells through her house
"Clover" Moon exclaims, excited to see her new girlfriend. They head up to Moon's room to hang out together just them, happy to be together.
