"Love hath made thee a tame snake" -William Shakespeare

3rd P.O.V.

Hana Atarashīhi was around 19 or 20 years old, she was attending a university in Tokyo, earning money from Hokushin's Dry Cleaners. She was in her lecture class when she saw him...

"Wow"

If she didn't believe the phrase, "love at first sight" she certainly did now. His slim shoulders, sleek black hair, ... she had an immediate infatuation with him. Just the way he was diligently taking notes made her heart flutter. She had to know him more. She just had to. Her opportunity didn't come long. When it was time to go, he didn't turn in his attendance ticket. If she could help him with that, -

"I can get to know him more" she mused.

She went after him through the back doors, turned down the hallway, and saw him down the stairs.

Hana: "Please wait,"

The mystery man halfway turned around.

"This is the attendance ticket," she continued, holding the ticket up. "If you don't sign and turn it in you won't be marked present. So..."

???: "I'm...not a student here. If I'm an eyesore, I won't be coming again."

Snap. This person was most likely not going to come again. She sighed dejectedly as other students came pouring in from other classes. For one final glance, as she was leaving the building, she saw him help a child up after he fell. She smiled at the kindness, and decided she wasn't going to give up easily.

She chased him in the street and repeated, "Please wait." He turned around again.

Hana: "I don't know if you're a student or not, but at that lecture you didn't have a textbook, so, I thought it would be a bit hard to study. Why don't we share mine?" Silence. After some thought, he turned around.

A few days later, Hana and the man, known as Ookami were often seen together. Hana would save a seat in the cafeteria, share the textbook, help him sneak into the library. They quickly turned into friends, and Friendship slowly turned to love as Hana sprouted up questions.

"What do you do for fun?"

"What type of food do you like?"

"What kind of person do you love?"

While walking on campus, it was Ookami that had a question this time.

Ookami: "Why are you called, "Hana?""

Hana: "When I was born the cosmos flowers in the backyard were blooming. They didn't plant them; they were blooming naturally. When my father saw them, he immediately thought: "I will raise my kid to have a smile beautiful as a flower, that won't fade away. Whether faced with difficulties or suffering, we will smile, whether we feel like it or not, then we'll be able to overcome almost anything." That's why, at my father's funeral, I was smiling the whole time. My relatives were all thinking, "What an indiscretion." That made me angry."

She stopped talking for a moment, as if she were thinking that maybe they were right. Ookami noticed this, and thought...

"She has been through death of a loved one, maybe I shou-"

Hana: "But... maybe that was an indiscretion after all..."

Ookami: "No it wasn't." He quickly retorted in attempt to make her feel better.

Much to Ookami's delight, she laughed in response, as they both went home.
