"You may not be able to change the world, but if you can even help one person, to that one person it could mean the world." -Dhar Mann

3rd P.O.V.

Hana: Should we get the beige or the tan?

Ookami: Aren't they the same color?

Hana: No, the beige has a more grayish tint to it.

Ookami: Why can't we just get a white couch and paint it two different colors?

Hana: Because then we wouldn't have enough money for the table!

Hana and Ookami were closer to their dream future. It was a few months after Ookami told Hana he could shift into a wolf, and they were a normal couple. They pulled their money together they got from their jobs to buy a modest apartment, and they even had décor to go with the furniture they already had. There was only one thing that they wanted over everything: a child.

It was one of those things that were not spoken, but just mutually known. However, when it comes to babies and planning a child, it isn't wise to just assume and jump to conclusions. This Hana knew, and she brought it up to Ookami one day.

Hana: Ookami?

Ookami: Yes dear?

Hana: Do you think we'll be able to have children?

Ookami thought long and hard for a moment.

Could they? The thought of him copulating with another never crossed his mind. The pregnancy was risky, there were so many unknowns, but the chance of them succeeding was possible.

Ookami: I do but I'm scared of what will happen.

Hana: How did your parents have you?

Ookami: I don't know. I never found the reason to ask them how I was born.

Hana: Do you know any ways that will make the pregnancy easier?

Ookami: We can try to use proven remedies that made the pregnancy easier for humans and wolves.

Hana considered this. Yes, these words were of some comfort to her, but she had another suggestion: "What do you think about adopting?"

Like the act of impregnating Hana, adoption also never came to his mind. The idea of adoption came into his mind, but the statement brought him back to when he lived in the wild. There were countless times where he saw pups, chicks, kits, and other baby animals die because their parent was killed by some other means. He remembered his heart would break a little, which it still does. He felt that the having an orphan come into their family was a noble action, so Ookami agreed to it.

Ookami: Yes, I would be fine with adopting. But I would like to have children of our own.Hana: Yes, I was thinking the same. Maybe we could do both? Give birth and adopt.Ookami: That sounds wonderful, but we will have to teach the orphan about the wolf power.

After that day, Hana prepared herself for the impregnation. She eventually told Ookami that she was ready, and he was also prepared. Their whole lives changed after that night.

*Time skip*Hana was in the bathroom. She had her mouth covered with her hand, eyes welling up tears of joy. The last few days she was feeling nauseous and was developing cravings, so she bought a pregnancy test to confirm her suspicions. To her joy, she was pregnant. She texted Ookami, and he was also ecstatic to find out about it. They both immediately started to prepare the house for the baby: They made a nursery, Hana was making stuffed animals and eating healthy, while Ookami would go out into the woods and hunt for all sorts of fowl, despite Hana asking him not to.

Finally, a girl was born on a snowy day. A huge sense of joy came over them, since they have now started their family, and a sigh of relief; they didn't go to a hospital, due to the unknown of how the baby's form would be. A wolf? A human? Or a combination of both? They didn't know, but the important thing is that Hana and Yuki (Her name since she was born on a snowy day) didn't get hurt.

Hana: I'm glad she was born safely.                                                                                                                      Ookami: But things are just starting now.                                                                                                        Hana: Will she grow to be a gentle child?                                                                                                        Ookami: She will probably be a very smart kid.

Hana pondered more and thought out loud: I wonder what kind of adult she'll be.Ookami stated back: Whether a nurse, a teacher, or a baker, I just want her to do what makes her happy.Hana continued with: I want to raise her without any thoughts of hardship, to become a happy and healthy child.

The next few weeks were, in short, hard. Hana was in the Yuki's beck and call, feeding her, changing her, playing, and comforting her every time she cried while Ookami was hunting or at his job at the movers. Both would stay late up at night with baggy eyes in attempt to comfort her crying nights. It wasn't all bad though, they still loved Yuki very much, and eventually made a routine with her.

A few months later, Hana was pregnant again, while both Ookami and Hana were happy again, there was a lingering thought on the back of Hana's mind: Is this the appropriate place to raise wolf children? She put the thought on the backburner, until it came out.

Hana: Do you have any thought if we could move to a larger place for our children? I say this because if we want to adopt, there will be three children. We can try to make it work here, but do you have any suggestions on a more suitable home?

Ookami thought about this. He was going to make it work, but then remembered that two of the three children weren't normal, and that the risk of someone finding out was high, so he answered with, "I had a house on the mountains when I was still a child. I might have a photograph of it."

Hana watched and gently bounced Yuki as Ookami left. A while later, he came back into the room with a photograph, giving it to her. She took it and stared at it with intense eyes. It looked like a beach house in the forest, wide in one floor, with mountains and a lake nearby. "It has been years," continued Ookami, "but if we can pull our money together, and work hard, it can be as good as new."

"Is it just the house or is there a whole other town?" questioned Hana.

"When I was there, it was just me and my parents in the house with a few other houses and a small store. Last I checked, there was growth, but its still a sub-rural area." replied Ookami.

Hana was still for a moment. She then declared with determination, "Let's make plans to move there.""So that our children, adopted or not, can have the best childhood." Finished Ookami with a smile.

Yuki: Yablabla!

Ookami and Hana turned look at Yuki, then each other, and laughed into the night.
