It's time for school! -Nemo

3rd P.O.V.

Hana: Hello? Ame, (Y/N), I'm back from the garden, what did the two of you do?

Ame: Hey mom! (Y/N) and I were coloring our family.

Hana: Oh, how nice, may I see them?

The two of you showed Hana your drawings, Ame's was of the five people: Hana, Yuki, Ame, their father, and you. Your painting had you and your two biological parents.

Hana: Oh my darlings, they are beautiful! (Y/N), are those two your parents?

(Y/N): Yes mom. Before I came here of course.

Hana: I see, I'll hang both of these up on the fridge. I'll be in the shower for a moment, so we'll leave when I'm done. Ame, Shino's mom will come over to drop off Yuki, so you won't be alone.

Ame and (Y/N): Okay mom.

(Timeskip)

Hana: (On the phone) Alright...Yes, thank you. Yeah, Ame will be here. Hmmm? Yes, I'm taking my son (Y/N) to school to settle things. Yeah, he's settling in quite nicely. Alright, goodbye. *Hangs up* "(Y/N)? Time to go. (Y/N)?"

Hana went throughout the house, calling (Y/N). Hana stood still for a moment. After some thought, she went outside, and saw (Y/N) and Ame in their wolf form. They were chatting, if small barks, growls, whines, and head movement. Hana wasn't concerned at all; this was just friendly banter, she saw Ame and Yuki communicate in wolf form like this.

Hana: (Y/N)? Time to go now.

She watched as the (s/c) & (h/c) furred wolf whine softly to Ame, and the shift to human form. Hana smiled warmly to (Y/n).

Hana: What were you two talking about?

(Y/N): About what we like the most here. I like our new house, and Ame says he likes the backyard.

Hana: I see, good that the two of you are getting along. Hopefully you will be able to do the same at school; I think you will.

(Y/N) P.O.V.

I sat in the car as mom started it, wondering what school was like. As she started driving, I asked her who her husband was.

Hana P.O.V.

(Y/N): Mom? Can you tell me more about who the man in the license was?

I thought long and clear about what to exactly tell him. I mean, how do you tell your adopted child about your spouse that they have never met? I decided to give him the lighter facts, so as to not bring any bad memories.

Hana: He was...one of the strongest people I've ever met. You probably figured it out, but he could shift into a wolf too. When I got to know him, he was more than what I could have imagined. He treated me with respect, he was funny, and helped anyone that needed help. That's actually one of the first things I saw him do, help a child.

(Y/N): (Thinking) My father was like that. I wish I could meet Mr. Atarashihi.

Both of them were silent during the whole car ride. It was only after Hana pulled up to the lot where (Y/N) started to talk again.

(Y/N): Mom? How big are the classes?

Hana: Around 20 children. Not a lot, so you'll be okay. Besides, Yuki and her friend Shino will be there, so you'll be fine.

Both of them entered the school, walking straight to the principal's office.

Hana: Alright, I'll go inside to talk with the principal. You can walk around, but don't wander around too much. Okay?

(Y/N) simply nodded, watching his mother go into the room. He looked around carefully, taking notice of what it looked like. After some time, (y/n) got up, walking around the hallways. He liked it, it wasn't very different from the orphanage. (Y/N) walked to the gym, cafeteria, and the classrooms filled with decorations and supplies. He felt comfortable with each second that he walked. After some time exploring, he thought it would be a great time to go back; he didn't know how long he was walking.

He sat on the chair waiting for the meeting to end. Eventually, the meeting ended, and Hana went outside.

Hana: Alright, (Y/N). I'm finished. Now we're going to the store, we need to buy a few things for winter.

They both got in the car, driving to the store. Once again, (Y/N) looked out the window to gaze upon the mountains. It was a strange feeling, getting used to a place that was supposed to be happy for you, but you still had to settle in. Nevertheless, you already trusted your new family, you could hopefully do the same for your school and neighbors.

You two pulled up to the market, your mind ready to see the new place.

Hana: Alright (Y/N), pick out winter clothes, I have to buy a few things for the house.

While (Y/N) was looking around, Hana went to buy the things she needed for winter. She had grown accustomed to not needing to go to the store as much, so it was rare for the workers to see her.

Mrs. Nirasaki: Hello Hana! Is that your new child you've adopted?

Hana: Yes, He's been with us for a few months now. I'd say it's going really well. He's been getting along with Ame and Yuki, and he's ready to start school in a few months

Mr. Hosokawa: I see, you've done a great job in raising him. Not that you did a bad job with your other two, but it's like a charm you have.

Hana blushed at this. She never had time to admire all her hard work; it was just thanking others for help and her pushing through everything. It was, of course, what she was meant to do. She and Ookami were ready to sacrifice anything as long as the best was secured for their family. That was what she was doing.

She smiled as she bought her and (Y/N)'s items, and went to the car. She was doing her very best, and that was not going to change anytime soon.
