TW: Don't know, LMK

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. -Coco Chanel

Yuki climbed on the bus, the routine known. Ever since she started school a few months ago, she was eager to acclimate into a more human society and so far, she was doing great. Her friendship with Shino definitely was of great help to teach her what was okay and what wasn't, so she wasn't going to try to end the friendship. Not that she would do anything like that.

"Hi Yuki!" Yuki glanced at Shino, a grin coming to her face. "Hey Shino! Good to see you!" Yuki said as she went to her desk, right next to Shino's. "Is Ame and (Y/N) coming today?" Shino asked, checking her box.

"They decided to come back to school again in a few days." Yuki replied, noticing Shino's box. "You have your trinket box?" Yuki said, motioning to the small pale yellow handled-chest that Shino had. Shino nodded. "Yep! I'm planning on showing everyone when class ends!" Yuki nodded, listening to her. "Yeah! I'm planning on doing the same." Yuki said, pointing to the grey cardboard box she left in her cubby.

"Alright! I know that Bunko, Soko, and Keno are arriving with their boxes, so it will be a great time!" Shino said, bouncing at the thought. "Yeah, it'll be a surprise for them, You've never shown us your box before." Shino answered, waving a few more of their friends down.

"Hey guys! I brought my box!" Yuki said, letting everyone know. "What! Can we see?" Soko said, everyone looking at Yuki. Yuki opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted.

"Ladies? Please sit down, all of you will be able to talk at lunch and recess." Their teacher said as he walked in the room. "I know all of you want to talk about the things you've done over the weekend, but we need to learn a few lessons first." Mr. Tanabe said, turning the projector on. Yuki nodded in reassurance that she would show them after lunch, as she also wanted to show them her collection of the wild.

...

"Look, these used to be my mom's." "They're so pretty." "My parents bought this for me for my last birthday." "Lucky!" Yuki, show us your treasure box, too!" Yuki perked up from her desk; lunch ended and they were back in the homeroom while some students were at the gym or backyard. "Okay!" Yuki said, running to her cubby "Oooh, what's inside?" "Look!" Yuki said, opening the box that was full of worms, leaves, centipedes, sticks, spiders and bones.

"Ta-da~!" Yuki said, showing off her items. It an ugly awakening when all of her friends ran away, screaming to get away from her. "Hey guys! Don't you want to-" she started out, but did not chase after them. Yuki looked down at her box, and immediately saw how different the items were from their boxes; to hers. "I'll just..." She muttered out, silence enveloping her.

Yuki was silent the rest of the day, ignoring the comments, whispers, and stares that she earned from most of the class. She couldn't handle it right now, she was too embarrassed. From then on, she made a promise to be more ladylike and gentle, so that she would acclimate better.

...

(Y/N) got back from exploring in the woods, remembering that his sister Yuki came back with her and his homework. He got in through the backdoor to see his mom and Yuki, both in different attitudes. "Ughn...don't laugh at me! I'm in the middle of a crisis!" Yuki whined out, begging for help.

"Why do you want to act like someone you're not, honey?" Hana asked, tears subsiding. "'Cause when I act like me, they all run away screaming." Yuki said, pouting. "Why not just act a little bit like them?" (Y/N) suggested to her, while he went to one of the folders on the table. "You will get friends while also still being yourself." He finished, looking over the papers.

"I can't! I just know it, they still won't like me! Maybe Shino, but not the others!" Yuki answered, pleading with Hana. "I agree with (Y/N), why don't you just do what you want?" Hana asked, getting serious. "I don't want people looking at me funny!" Yuki answered, calming down.

Hana bit her lip, then sighed. "I guess it can't be helped. Alright, here's what I'll do..." she started, Yuki listening closely.

Hana spent days and even a few nights making a dress, with Yuki close by. Yuki was grateful that her mom was doing this, and made sure to take care of it the way she could. It also apparently worked to get the other girls in the class to like her, because it got her a few compliments.

"Hi (Y/N)! Hi- Oh, Yuki, your dress is so cute! It's wonderful!" Bunko said, noticing Yuki and when she and Keno turned around. "Thank you! My mom made it for me, so I'll wear it a lot." Yuki said, twirling a bit as she caught up with Bunko. "Lucky!" Keno said, also eyeing the dress.

"What was wrong with the pink one?" Shino asked when they arrived. "Just a new look, she says." (Y/N) said, answering for her. "Do you like it?" Yuki said, motioning to her dress. "Yeah...I do." Shino said, somewhat hesitant. Yuki noticed it, but shrugged it off; overall happy.

"So honey? How was school?" Hana said, greeting Yuki. "It was great, they all liked it." Yuki said, more happily than ever. "That's great, sweety." Hana said, a bit sad that Yuki changed. Nevertheless, it was bound to happen; at least it wasn't too much of a change.
