I still can't believe I'm here. It's been a month and three weeks since I came to this world. I remember waking up after being shot in the head, gasping for air. It felt like a dream, but it wasn't. This world is real, and I'm stuck in it.

I lost everything in my previous life. Why should I keep living now? I don't want to. I know I'll just end up alone again.

But... what is this?

I really can't get used to this. No matter how many days or weeks pass, I just can't. But do I have a choice?

"Son, eat more so you'll be healthy!" my new father urges.

"Oh, my poor baby~ look at you, you're so skinny after not waking up for a month! Eat more, come on~ Mommy will be here with you, darling~" my new mother says softly.

What is this? I already said that if I'm dying, just let me die. I don't want to keep living. But this family...

"Just what really happened to you? You were unconscious for a month after falling down the stairs, and it happened while I was in America!" my older brother says.

"How much do you want your older brother to worry about you? I even had to cancel all my appointments to come back home!" He looks at me with concern while I sit there, still in my hospital gown.

(Why do they care so much? I don't understand this at all. I was ready to die, to escape the loneliness.)

(But here they are, worrying about me, taking care of me. Maybe... maybe this world is different. Maybe I don't have to be alone anymore.)

"Look what happened to you while I'm gone! Don't you know how worried I am?!" He says, his worried look is evident on his face.

(Is that supposed to be my fault? Huh?)

"Blaze, don't scold your younger brother like that. Look at our dear baby darling~ he must have fallen pretty hard~ just be glad that your younger brother is awake now," Mother says. Blaze Teagan, my older brother, crosses his arms but still looks worried about me.

In this world, it's a new life, new family, and a new face. I've never had a family like this before. Back in my old life, it was just me and my grandmother. This type of family... I'm not used to it. I've never been showered with so much affection. It feels uncomfortable, but I have to endure it.

"Oh, my poor baby, eat more!" Mother says, holding a sliced apple and wanting to feed me.

(How did I end up here? And why do they care so much? It feels so strange, but maybe... maybe I should give it a chance.)

(This family seems to genuinely care about me. Maybe I can find a new purpose here, a new reason to live.)

Reluctantly, I take the apple slice from my mother and eat it, trying to adjust to this strange new reality.

Ah... School, again? I was about to graduate in my previous life, now I'm back as a highschool student again??? Well, fuck.

( Great... I'm attending a school again...)

As soon as I entered inside the school and in the hallway, I heard whispers around me.
