" I I'm sorry I think you are confused . Who are you?" I asked and Justin stood confused . "My names Jacob , a woman named Cassandra Mendez sent me here are you Aleah Sutton?" He said "I am that's my maiden name but I don't believe I am your mother .. I k know Cassandra where is she ?" I asked . "She's at the hospital , she's dying and she sent this.." he handed me a letter . "What is going on?" Justin asked "Jacob come inside" I said letting him in . "Follow me please" I said going into the living room. "You have a beautiful home" jacob said . "Thanks that's so sweet" I said before taking a seat . Justin sat down "How old are you?" Justin asked "I'm 14 sir" jacob said before looking at me almost as if he was studying me. I glanced up at him before opening the letter .
"Aleah , I know what the agreement was and I'm sorry but I am terminally Ill and I can't leave my baby with no one . His name is Jacob Noel Mendez he's 14 and the best son a mother could ask for . Please welcome him and love him for me I couldn't tell him the truth without your side so I only told mine . He's a smart boy he's caring and if you ask me he looks a lot like you. I've kept up with you over the years I had to track you down once I found out my illness was terminal. Don't turn him away please , my husband left us years ago and he doesn't want anything to do with him. You are his mother , it's your turn." I looked up at Jacob and I couldn't process what was happening. "Leah?" Justin said looking at me . "Jacob is my son.. but I didn't give birth to him." I said "What?" Justin said and Jacob looked at me confused . "Jacob , when I was younger I met your mother uh Cassandra and she wanted a baby.. her and her husband Jose were willing to pay me for an egg of mine" I started . "So I agreed and when she got pregnant that was the last I've heard of you Jacob I'm so sorry" I said looking at him. My life is about to flip upside down I think I'm going to be sick. "Did you not know about me? Anything about my upbringing?" Jacob asked "I didn't , the agreement was I didn't contact and she didn't . She didn't want to be reminded that she couldn't have a child I'm sorry Jacob" I said and Justin sat quietly not making a move before finally getting up "I'm going to be late for work , nice to meet you Jacob . Leah we will talk later" he said with an unreadable expression . "Nice to meet you to sir" Jacob said . "Give me a minute ok?" I said before following my husband outside . "You never thought to tell me you did some shit like this?" He said "I I'm sorry it was never supposed to happen like this I was just helping a family" I said "This isn't something you keep from your husband!" He said and I know he was right but "In my defense we wasn't married yet Justin I forgot about the whole thing to even tell you , I just wanted to help this woman and I needed the money . You have to understand if I thought this would've happened I wouldn't have done it" I said "Congratulations, you're a mother.." he mumbled "No stop that I'm still completing this family with you , don't act like i cheated for this kid I did not" I said "You're right , I just need to clear my head Leah .. I'll see you tonight" he said and I stormed back inside . "Uh Jacob? Are you hungry?" I asked and he nodding standing . I led him to the kitchen "Sharon this is Jacob and he will be living here , Jacob this is Sharon" I said "Good morning Jacob" Sharon smiled as I sat down and he sat. "Nice to meet you ma'am" he said and Sharon sat a plate down for him. "I hope you like it if not she'll make you something else , she cooked a few of my favorites this morning" I said "Are you kidding? I think we like the same things" he said smiling looking at the plate with blueberry waffles , eggs scrambled with peppers , bacon and cheese and steak. "Good , I want to know about you" I said sitting eating some .

After breakfast I drove to Jonathan's house , he needed to see Cassandra with me . I didn't know what to do or say when seeing her but I know that I want a relationship with my son. "I thought you were going to turn me around .. if I can be honest" Jacob said pulling me from my thoughts. "No I couldn't do that to a child.. my child" I said and he nodded . A few minutes later I was pulling up to Jonathan's . "Come on it's someone I want you to meet" I said grabbing my bag getting out of the car and he got out following me to the door. I knocked waiting on Jonathan . "Hey .. oh hey who's this?" He said opening the door letting us in . "Jacob this is your Auntie/uncle" I said and Jacob laughed "What?" Jonathan said looking at him. "I'm sorry I wasn't expecting her to say that" Jacob said "Seriously Leah who's this? Justin's love child or something?"Jonathan asked "No first he knows better than to try me like that . Second this is my son , Cassandra's sick and she sent him to me she said it's my turn" I said looking at him and he froze. "I'm your uncle/auntie Jacob welcome to the chaotic family" Jonathan said embracing him quickly squeezing him. "We're going to have so much fun , you have an amazing mom she's going to spoil you so much and shower you with so much love!" He said hugging Jacob . "Let him breathe!" I said kind of jealous because I didn't get a hug . "I would like for you to come and see Cassandra with me , we're on the way to the hospital" I said and he nodded "Ok I'd love that let's go" he said and we headed to the hospital.
