I am here to tell you that there is a secret in this chapter and whoever finds it, follows me and texts it to me gets to put their own character in the next story I create. It is a 6 digit code in symbols and alphabetic(no numbers) and the code is separated throughout this chapter!(This is a small event I created just for fun and I am also running out of characters ) Only 3 readers can add in. (Comet's pov)
I gripped the handles of my cable dagger tightly, like a boa constrictor, constricting its prey. Then one of the cable daggers broke off and caused me to slip. I stood firmly on the moss and soon heard faint yelling. It was faint but I could immediately tell who's is it
Darel
Suddenly Darel broke through the barrage of hanging vines from above
Comet: DAREL!!!
Darel: WOAH
(Darel's pov)
I saw the drop and started to panicking
That's when I heard Comet's yell. I immediately turned to him and tried to reach for him
Comet: GRAB MY HAND!!!
I slanted my body towards Comet and dug the dagger into the moss to create drag but it was too small and too late. I flew off the edge and plunged into the deep drop. This is it? This is how I will die? But my train of thoughts was interrupted when something wrapped around my hand and I jerked. The next thing I know, I was in suspended in mid air
Comet: F&*@!!
I looked up and realised comet tied the handle of his other cable dagger to his leg and jumped down to grab me
Comet: Are you okay?
Darel: I am fine
suddenly there were more yells coming from above. One by one they flew off the edge like I did but either they hammered their weapon into the wall to stop them from falling or they flew
Comet: You guys good?
Everyone: Yup!
Comet: Lets get back up shall we?
I jumped onto Qibli's back and flew up along with him. We started ascending up the drop. A new hope began to grow in me
But then...
Suddenly, Blue froze and fell out of the sky like a brick and into the abyss of darkness along with Char
Char: AHHHHHH
Darel: WHAT THE HELL
Ender then flew over the edge and was shot. He dropped into the abyss as well
Out of nowhere, something hit Qibli in the neck and I was falling out of the sky with Qibli
I stabbed my sword into the wall as Qibli hit a rock spire and fell into the deep dark
Darel: No!
I gripped onto my sword handle tightly
Then suddenly, I heard a yell. It was Comet falling from above and manage to stab his sword into the rock next to me
Comet: F%+/ MY LIFE, WHAT THE HELL
And right after his sentence, we heard a call from above
???: DESTROY THEM ALL
Comet: Wait, isn't that-
Darel: Jarrah
Comet: What the f*&/, it really is the spider goddess herself
Right after that, it started raining arrows
Comet: FOLLOW ME
Comet pulled his sword out of the rock and threw himself up against the opposite wall. I did the same and tailed Comet as we jumped across, up and down
Darel: This is not working! What now Com-
But before I could even finish my sentence, I saw Comet falling from his point with an arrow through his heart
Darel: NO!!!
I pulled out my sword and Comet's and jumped after him. I reached for Comet but he was falling too fast
Darel: NO NO NO NO
I reached out once more and missed. But that's when I saw it. A cable from Comet's broken cable dagger was twisting thorough the air. I flipped myself to a nose dive position and got nearer to Comet
Darel: COME ON!!!
And that is when I felt it, a line between my palm and fingers. I stabbed both swords into the earth once again and I slowed down before coming to a stop but during the process, My arm grabbing Comet pulled and dislocated
Darel: F%@#&%^ HELL
Despite how much it hurt, I refused to let go of Comet
Comet: Darel, save yourself!
Darel: NO!!! I AM NOT
Comet: THAT IS AN ORDER, I WAS TASKED TO PROTECT YOU AND I AM NOT ENDANGERING YOU CUZ OF ME
Darel: YOU SAVED ME, YOU GAVE ME HOPE SO I AM NOT LETTING GO
Comet: Then I will
He pulled out his katana and pressed the blade against the cable
Comet: Shan't disgrace before death. Goodbye
And among the sounds of whooshing arrows, a snap echoed throughout the raining arrows
The protector of many worlds has fallen to the spider goddess, Jarrah.
Comet is gone
