Chapter 2

Phil's POV

Me and Raven have been friends since 3rd grade and we have hung out a LOT and when I say a lot, I mean a lot! I'm talking everyday, after school, for five hours, mostly playing video games but we did other things, just mostly endless Mario Kart Tournaments. It was so cool that I found out that she lived like a block away from my house. The best thing we did so far is that we made a horror film together with a few other friends. We called it The Madness of Matthew Swiatczak. It was the best thing we have done in our younger years, except the part where I accidently actually stabbed her a little but she was fine. But that was 4 years ago when I was 12. I'm now 16 and a full on mario geek Not only that, but I've taken an interest in Raven as more than a friend. But I don't wanna risk changing anything. Our friendship that we have is perfect and if I told her that I like her more than that, then I would be back at the lonely kid in the school that no one cared about.

It was Friday and we have no school today. It's about 5 am and I'm wide awake. I have nothing to do so I decide to text Raven.

(P=Phil R=Raven)

P: Hey you up?

R:Yeah... can't sleep :(

P:yeah same. Wanna talk?

R: not unless my dad comes and makes me get up...

P: lol okay :)

R:so wat you wanna talk about?

P: umm..

I was going to ask her to talk and try to reel her in like a fish but I didn't know if now was the time

P: I have a question to ask you...

R: Yeah?

P: have you ever felt like one of your friends had feelings for you but they were too scared to tell you because you didn't know what they would say?

R: umm. no. Why?

P: no reason. I just had a feeling that Emily had a thing for me. I kinda do but I don't know what she would say

R: i would forget about it. I almost told a guy I liked him but the I didn't and I just let it slip by me.

P: okay. thanks for the tips!

R: no problem. I'm going to try and get some sleep before my dad come gets me. See you later for our Sonic night!

P: yeah. see you then.

I didn't bother locking my phone manually so I just layed on my bed, looking at the ceiling. I thought I would never fall in love but now I think I am in love. I just didn't know how to show it to Raven
