Joey Drew Studios. A Place of wonders and imagination. A place where cartoons come to life. In this studio there are Joey's employees. They're running everywhere and anywhere 24/7. Joey doesn't exactly allow them to take breaks, but he writes the checks, so they don't complain. At least not to his face...
Cartoons. Little motions of frames and animation. Something that all children enjoy watching, it's like a whole other world for them. Helps grow their imagination, as Joey says. But, for those feelings of awe and child like wonder to appear, the workers of the studio have to work their asses off to provide. Henry Stein was the animator, Joey was mostly on his back. Pushing him to exhaustion. It used to not be like this...but money is tight with the tax collectors...
Henry of course wasn't the only overworked employee. There was also the studio's main script writer. Evelyn Rodgers. For everyone to actually know what to do with the silly little devil darling, she has to prepare a story. Joey is constantly on her ass, and she stresses over with meeting deadlines. Poor girl hasn't slept in ages. Evelyn was relatively close with Henry, best friends since childhood actually. Both began working under Joey when they were 18 years old, currently they our now at least 25, so they're both used to the abuse of Joey Drew.
Then there is the music producer Sammy Laurence. Joey was also always up his ass about the music score usually causing arguments between the two. Sammy also has been raising his kid, Tommy Laurence, he was only about two and spent most of his time just roaming around the music studio sometimes getting his father in trouble. To Tommy his dad was the best in the whole studio his hero.
William Desmond, is another poor soul who deals with Joey's constant blabbering and is a part of the Joey Drew Studios Toy Department as a delivery boy. He works closely with the toy maker, Shawn Flynn. Shawn makes the toys, and William packs them away in a box, delivering them to stores for the kids. He's a bubbly, cheery guy. Tends to look on the brighter side of things even when life gets tough. Wonder how long it will take him to snap...?
There's so many more employees that could be described, but we would be here all day. They all need a break and get away from the studio, before stress consumes them whole...or maybe something worse...
"Henry, I have another script ready for the story boarding. They locked the damn doors again and you have the keys. Mind taking it too them." the tired and almost emotionless voice of a woman was heard. Henry turned from his sketches and stared at the one and only, Evelyn Rodgers.
"Oh, of course I can. I don't mind at all Eve...You look terrible." Henry hums out as he stood from his chair, popping his back, flinching at the tense muscles he had. Evelyn seemed to roll her eyes at the young man, a small smirk resting upon her face.
"Says you Stein. Says you." She said, handing him a truck load of script papers. Which was all for a single episode... Henry takes them in his hands and frowned at his friend's state. It honestly upsets him to see her like this.
"You should get some rest Evelyn, we don't need you passing out somewhere in the studio." Henry tells the woman worriedly. Evelyn lets out a dry humorless snort, waving her hand at Henry.
"Nah you know Mr. Drew will have my head if I even blink for too long. I'll be fine." Evelyn said with a soft smile. The two flinch as sudden high pitched scream rang throughout the studio. Specifically a young child's scream.
"Ah...Looks like Sammy brought little Tommy to work again...Babysitter must have not shown up again..." Henry nervously chuckled and Evelyn hummed in agreement. A little boy, no younger than two, came sprinting down the halls of the art department. His pants completely gone. He shouted and screeched with furious smokey grey eyes. That's when the shouting of the music director came sliding around the corner, tired and out of breath.
