"How do you lose him in a bathroom with no windows?" Wednesday asked Thing in irritation.
" A lefty wouldn't have failed me." She continued, currently they were in Ms. Thornhills class and Y/n's standing close to Wednesday watching their interaction, in the corner of her sight she could see Bianca and her friends entering the greenhouse, Y/n could tell by their confused expression that In their point of view, they would think that Wednesdays talking to a carnivorous plant.
"I see you finally made a friend. Even if it is a plant."
Bianca started, her goons standing behind her. Wednesday faced them with her usual empty expression.
"I go for quality over quantity. " she answered.
This made Y/n smirk. Bianca rolled her eyes, going to her seat. Wednesday side eyed Y/n and proceeds to stand and walks out to find a seat aswell.
"See you later Thing. " Y/n whispered and waves goodbye before she followed Wednesday.
Walking beside her she could see Xavier sitting in their usual spot, sketching a spider. She continued to sit next to him.
"Come on Wednesday! sit with us. " she suggested, patting the space inbetween her and Xavier.
"That's if you can stand sitting that close to an elitist snob" Xavier continued.
Y/n at this point is doing her best to stop herself from laughing, it was satisfying for her to see Bianca's sour expression.
Wednesday sat inbetween them and watches Xavier give life to his drawing, Y/n always thought that his abilities are extraordinary, the spider then crawled next to Wednesday's hands.
"I doubt Wednesday is impressed by your tricks, Mr. Thorpe." Ms. Thornhill suddenly says.
"Admit it, you're a little impressed." Xavier says with a smile on his face, but soon disappears when Wednesday crushed the spider. The student's proceeded to laugh. Y/n didn't.
"Wednesday, we're thrilled to have you join us on our journey into the world of carnivorous plants. Now... who can tell us the name of this beauty?"
Bianca raises her hand with confidence, about to speak but Wednesday beat her to it.
"Dendrophylax lindenii." Wednesday asnwered.
"Otherwise known as the ghost orchid." Bianca continued, putting her raised hand down.
"First discovered on the Isle of Wight in 1854." Finished Wednesday. Y/n chuckles, her head resting on her hand.
"Very good, Wednesday! Looks like you may have competition for first chair, Bianca."
The students around them snickers.
"Wednesday, perhaps you can identify the ghost orchid's greatest qualities." asked ms. Thornhill.
"Resilience and adaptability. It's able to thrive in even the most hostile environments."
"But its mere presence can change the ecosystem, causing the established plants to reject it." Bianca continues cutting Wednesday off, staring straight to her eyes.
"Usually because the native species is allowed to thrive unchecked. Nothing a Weedwackercouldn't fix." Wednesday finished, now also returning the stare.
"You can most certainly try."
"Are we still talking about flowers?" Xavier interrupted their staring competition and the students around them continues to chuckle, including Y/n, she thought that the interaction between the two are interesting.
