It was a lovely evening, or at least you thought it was. The sky was a beautiful rosy colour as it was getting closer to being night. The sun peeked over the last bit of land before ultimately getting swallowed by the mass and just after a few seconds even the last rays of sunshine faded in the now dark sky.

Though the scenery might have been breathtakingly beautiful, the situation you were in right now definitely wasn't. Breathtaking? Yes. Beautiful? No. You were sprinting as fast as you could, even though your legs ached you didn't stop, you couldn't, your gut feeling told you not to, not unless you wanted something horrible to happen to you. just behind your own footsteps the noticeable pair of footsteps that weren't yours were thumping against the ground behind you, and they were gaining speed faster than you anticipated.

You have had such a nice day before this. after getting through a couple of stressful weeks your friends had taken you out to get food at a nice and fancy new restaurant that had just opened in town. After saying goodbye and walking home you noticed somebody following you, it didn't help that you quickened your walking pace, or even started running, because the person following you had locked onto you like a leech and wouldn't let you out of their sight.

Now the sun was completely gone as you were still running, trying to get away from whoever was chasing you, panic and adrenaline flooded your system as you made a turn into an alley, trying to shake the person behind you off as best as you could. But when you looked up your eyes widened at the sudden realisation of the grave mistake you had just made.

Was this a.. a dead end..?

Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes and you clawed at the stone wall that had suddenly blocked your path, desperately trying to find a way out of this situation, but you couldn't.

In that moment you realised something, the footsteps had stopped. But you weren't relieved. You were frightened. The footsteps had stopped  right  behind  you.

Your chest heaved and you started to shake as tears rolled down your cheeks. You didn't want to turn around and face the person that was chasing you, but at the same time you felt as though you didn't have a choice. As your heart felt like it was going to break your ribs from how hard it was beating, fear and adrenaline got the better of you. If there was no going forth, you had to go back. And so with one last shaky breath, you dared to turn around.

Or at least you tried to, because the second you moved your body, hands had already wrapped themselves around your throat and snaked up to your mouth to cover it, their grip was strong. You instinctively screamed yet no sound came out, therefore you did the next best thing you could think of.

You thrashed around in the persons arms and tried ripping their hand away from your mouth but they held you tight.  It didnt necessary feel like they were trying to hurt you, but maybe you just thought that because you tried seeing good in everyone you met, then they tightened their grip even harder and wrapped their free arm around your own arms so you couldn't move at all. It seemed useless to fight but as a last effort you swung your leg backwards. HARD.

The impact struck the person off guard and they grunted in pain as they released their arms from around you and stumbled back, only then did you get the chance to turn around and look at the person who had attacked you. Your eyes suddenly widened at the realisation of how freakishly tall they were. Or rather how tall he was. the build and body structure said a lot, even though he was wearing clothes it was just obvious this was a man, a very tall one at that. This man easily towered over you, Yet you couldn't see his hair or his face at all as it was all covered by cloth. he was now hunched over, clearly frustrated and in pain.

You looked past him, trying to find a possible escape. the alley was small and the only way for you to go now was past the man, left or right. You decided to attempt to get past him on the right side. You sprinted, using the chance you had as he was hunched over in discomfort to your advantage. Running faster than before you managed to make it past him, almost. Suddenly an arm shot out from where the man was and gripped you tight. He grunted and fixed his posture, his looming aura immediately frightening you more. he pulled you closer, his grip harsher. You definitely wouldn't be able to escape this time.

The only exception was that your mouth was free, you immediately screamed.

„Let me go you bastard! Let go!" You cried out. the man, unbeknownst to you, pulled something out of his coat pocket. he made sure to hold you extra tight so he wouldn't miss. Then, you felt it. A poking sensation on your neck.

„What are you- Hey Stop! Please- I said stop! What are you doing?!" Your voice sounded more scared than you'd like to admit, but given the situation you could care less about that. Even though you pleaded for him to stop, your pleads fell on deaf ears. A devastating cry left your mouth as something pierced your skin and dug into your veins. It was small, yet it hurt like hell. You felt as something entered your bloodstream that you knew didn't belong there.

The man never loosened his grip as he just held you and waited for the effect to take place. Slowly you felt the thing painfully get pulled out of your neck, and as you gave away glance back you saw the tip of a syringe, and then the complete thing, but it was empty. And you just wondered one thing. Why.

During all of this the man never uttered a single word. You felt a rush of fear, whatever you were just injected with, it couldn't have been anything good. Tiredly you tried prying your attackers hands away, but it was no use. All of a sudden you felt so incredibly exhausted and tired, you desperately tried to keep your eyes open, but you just couldn't.

Your eyelids grew heavier and heavier as it seemed like all your thoughts were suddenly shut off and muted. A strange feeling overcame you and you just weren't able to fight it anymore. your vision got cloudy and then, darkness consumed you as your body went limp.
