The following morning the sun was out but still cold. Emily and I got up to work our in the fitness center.

We finished and sanitized all we worked out with.

Josefina you go take a shower while I make us belgium waffles,  smoked bacon with a fruit cup and orange juice. Okay. I will take a quick one.  When I get out, I will switch out.

I started making the batter and got the waffle iron ready and hot so I can pour the first battery. Joey came a after I started the bacon.  She ate the waffle and had her breakfast while I was in the shower.  I came out to eat my breakfast while she was cleaning the kitchen. 

Emily let's see what is playing. We can go to an early morning movie than  visit my cousin at the clinic. I know you are any about Wednesday. I am this is a big step not just for me, but for Sacramento and Canada especially for the people we can help.

I put my dishes in the dishwasher and we left a plate with a note for Olivia that breakfast was in the oven. We heard the shower and knew she be out soon even though she was working from home.

We put our coats on and left in Emily's jeep to the movie theater on greenback.  They were showing an old movie of Rocky because it was the anniversary when the first one came out.

Emily parked and we were finally warm when she parked to go out in the cold again.

The movie was great.  I called my cousin earlier to let her know we would be stopping by the clinic.

Hello I am Dr. Emily Foster to see Dr. Maura Isles.  Do you have an appointment? No but she is expecting me. Oh okay! She is with a patient. We will wait.

Baby girl you were her patient? Yes Joey. Are you okay? I sprained my ankle thank goodness it's a mild one. Can you drive safely? Yes I  am going home for the day.  If you need anything, call me. I  will.
We hugged her and she made her way to her hummer.

Maura I figured the four of us can have lunch. Sure let me see if Miguel is finished with his patient.   Lunch is on me.  I can write it  off as a business expense and have the fire department reimburse me. Okay sure.

Maura left.

So this us what is going on with your budget. Don't start it's legit even with you being present. Just no alcohol . Okay Emily.

We see Parker,  Frankie, Yilena,  and Amal.

What are you two doing here? We figured you two have your flu shots already. We do Frankie. We can to Maura and Dr. Ochoa. Tomorrow the training begins for the doctors and paramedics. Yes nu niece and her two paramedics colleague's are staying with us during the training. Janice took the rest of this week off.

Do you two need flu shots too? No Mrs. Wright.  Okay . It's good seeing you two.

We said the same and she left as well as the others. Dr. Ochoa and Maura had their coats on.

Where do you two want to eat at? I haven't had pizza avd wings in a while.  Dr. Ortiz how does Sienna pizzeria sound to you? Perfect Dr. Foster please call me Emily.  Okay than please call me Miguel.  Miguel I will drive us. We can all go in my suv.

We go to the garage and get on Maura's vehicle while making small talk. 
We arrive at the pizzeria and place our order. Emily pays for it and keeps the receipt.  We sit in a booth. Emily goes over the questions they both have. I tell them my perception of the program.  We eat our lunch.  Each doctor told us all their medical background. We finished eating than left.

Thank toy Maura and Miguel for volunteering your time to do this for a month. The next cycle I will have the other shift do the training and we will alternate. I figured this will take a year to get them all in. We are training one of Canada's too. Once they get all the bugs out, they will train their people..This will be a pilot program for them.

Maura parked and we said our goodbyes. 

Babe you feel better now? Yes. The doctors at least know . A third of the training team has their questions answered.  

Emily drove us back to the house.

We arrived, Harold and his employees were working on the yard and pool.  Emily wrote a check and handed it to Harold.  We said goodbye and he left before the gardners.

We went inside to get warm. Emily made hot Cocoa and placed some in coffee mugs for the Gardners. They were thankful and said they would leave the coffee mugs on the back door entrance when they were done.  Olivia was on the phone when Emily left hers on her table. We sat in the piano room and drank ours. Once  I heard Olivia off the phone,  I started playing the piano..Emily listened to me while she was doing laundry.
