Shoyo's Pov
It was a normal day to day well I at least thought it was. I woke up, ate breakfast, went to school, and met up with everyone inside the classroom. What wasn't normal though was that our teacher announced that there was someone new. "Everyone take your seats we have a new student that will be joining class today." Suddenly Ueno hit my shoulder. "What do you want?" I asked annoyed. "Your in luck Shoya, I heard it's a girl." "So what? Like I care." Finally, the new girl decided to walk in. "Okay class, this is Y/n would you like to introduce yourself?" The teacher asked the new girl.

I decided to put the led back in my pen I was confused about why the new girl still hasn't introduced herself yet and I looked up to see our teacher patting her shoulder. She then started opening up her bag and taking out her notebook flipping to the first page. I looked at the notebook in her hands and read what was on the page. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Y/n
Nishimiya."

I could tell everyone was just as confused as I was since this was the first person we'd seen introduce herself using a notebook instead of talking. She then flipped to the next page and I read. "I would like to get to know everyone through this notebook." Everyone started to whisper to each other and saying how weird she was for doing this. "When you want to talk to me, please use this notebook."

She didn't look like she cared but when she flipped to the next page I understood why. "I can't hear." Everyone started saying how's terrible it was and how they felt bad for her. When I finally finished reading it I was so shocked that I accidentally broke the led to my pencil and the first thing I said was... "Holy crap!"

Y/n's Pov
When I looked up at everyone some looked surprised, others looked sad, but one boy suddenly stood up from his seat and said something. I couldn't understand what he said but at the moment  he looked very shocked.

It was break time and a few girls came up to me. One wrote in my notebook and read "Nice to meet you, Y/n-san. My name is Miki Kawai."

Ueno's Pov
"Hi, nice to meet you," Miki said while writing in Y/n's notebook. I sat on top of the desk behind Y/n and I called out to her. "Hey new girl, do you know how to speak Japanese?" I was joking around since I knew she couldn't hear me but I knew that the other girls would laugh so I just said it. "Come on Naoka that's not very nice." Miki said while she was trying to hide her laughter. Y/n turned around and showed me her notebook. "Could you please repeat that?" "Oh uhh, I..." I didn't know what to say but then she turned around to Miki and showed her the notebook. Miki then started writing and speaking so we could know what she wrote: "Do you have a nickname?" The boys then started being loud behind me but I could still hear Miki talking. "Your nickname is N/n?"

Y/n's Pov
Everyone was writing in their notebooks but I don't know what to write. I didn't want to bother the teacher so I looked around to see if someone could help me but everyone looked too busy. That is until I felt a pen tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Ueno trying to motion for me to give her my notebook. I am really glad that she decided to help because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have any notes. I gave her my notebook and she immediately started writing wasting no time.

We were in music class and a boy who I think is Kazuki was playing the piano while the rest of us were singing. I didn't know when to start so when I saw someone look like they were singing I breathed in and started singing too. Everyone turned to me and I felt Miki tap my shoulder which made me stop. She then pointed to her mouth and I think she was trying to tell me to watch her. The teacher then started again but this time I made sure to pay close attention to Miki so I wouldn't be off with the class.
