Adis pov
Everyone deals with loss differently. After what happened with Ginger all of the satyrs were scared out of their minds. They all hung around Bea and Jalen in case something happened to one of them, they wanted to be around people who understood the fear they had.
Jo has been hanging out in our cabin a lot. Chiron didn't make classes and training mandatory today because its Halloween tomorrow. Lia and Annie gave me and Jo the "It's okay to feel sad" talk but it didn't help any, I just wanted to be alone but my sisters wouldn't let me.
I started to feel better when I realized today was the cabin decorating contest, this year the older kids let me and Jo do the designs, we've been preparing all week so everything would be ready to be put up today.
I walked outside of cabin 6, everyone around was putting up their decorations. I looked towards the Hermes cabin. Connor and Travis were outside laughing about something, Travis had a bucket and he was sneaking around the back of the Hermes cabin to the Aphrodite cabin. Phee was in the back setting up a fake spider web. She turned around and scared Travis so bad he dumped the bucket on himself, it was pink glitter. Phee looked so embarrassed their faced turned the same color as the glitter.
I looked towards the Poseidon cabin and the small group of Poseidon kids were decorating their cabin to look like the octonauts submarine "A little help here Adi?" Someone called from above me. I looked up to see Jo struggling to string lights to the roof "Careful Jo you're going to fall and hit your head and die" I yelled up to her "I won't fall and hit my head and die If you HELP" They yelled back "Yeah yeah I'm COMING" I said. I walked over to the ladder she was standing on, Lia was holding it still so Jo wouldn't fall. I climbed up the ladder and took the string of lights from Jo so she could attached the lights while I handed them to her. "Hey Lia, could you tell me if this is even?" Janvi called from the next cabin over "Okay, coming" Lia called back and let go of the ladder to walk over to cabin 7. For an Athena kid that wasn't a very smart move, the ladder buckled under the weight of Jo and I and we both fell to the ground.
Jo hit the ground first, she landed on her arm and there was a big *crack* noise. I landed on top of Jo and whacked my head on the ground, an unclaimed boy at the Hermes cabin was laughing at us but the rest of the kids around us ran to help, the Apollo kids got to us first because they were the closest cabin "Oh Gods I'm so sorry" Liana apologized "It's fine" I reassured her "Easy for you to say, I cushioned your fall" Jo argued. "Well if you hadn't-" "GIRLS" Annabeth yelled, we both stopped talking so Annie wouldn't scold us.
Lia and Janvi walked us over to the infirmary "I'm sorry for falling on you Jo" I apologized "It's okay, sorry for snapping at you guys" Jo said "Sorry for letting go of the ladder" Lia chimed in "Thanks" Jo and I replied In unison "Aw look at that you three can get along" Janvi joked
The infirmary was crowded, as it normally is during Halloween time. There were two kids in the corner who I didn't recognize "Who are they?" Jo asked "New kid's, Nyx and Theo" Janvi said "Got here last night during my shift" "Unclaimed?" Lia asked "Actually they were claimed by Hades" Janvi replied "But Chiron doesn't want to tell anyone yet so you didn't hear it from me" Janvi whispered.
I looked to my left and Charlie was lying in a bed passed out, Her sister, Victoria was sitting next to her "What happened to her?" Janvi asked Nicola who had walked up to us to check out the girls. "Stabbed by a Halloween decoration" Nick laughed
"Alright Adi I'm going to check you out first to make sure you don't have a serious head injury" He said. He shined a flash light in my eyes. "Can you look to the left for me?" He asked "Good, now the right" He said "Okay, looks like you have a minor concussion, just don't hit your head again and you'll be alright, but if you get a headache or get dizzy come straight here" Nicola said, then he turned to Jo to check on their arm "Does this hurt?" He asked squeezing Jos arm "OW YES THAT HURTS" Jo complained "Sorry" He apologized "Yep definitely broken, I'll go get Bee" Nick said and walked off. Bee is the eldest sister of the Apollo cabin, she isn't around a lot because of old people stuff but she visits during the holidays and summer. Bee walked over to us "Can I see your arm?" She asked, she mended the bone and gave Jo a small bit of ambrosia "It'll be good as new In a few days" She said "Thank you so much" Liana said "You're welcome Liana, the best, most amazing, beautiful person ever," Bee replied.
"HELP!" Jalen called, running into the infirmary, she and another girl were carrying a teenage boy, I recognized him. It was the boy who laughed at me and Jo earlier, now I'm not saying he deserved it but... Taylor Swift didn't write "karma" for nothing. "What happened?" Jasper asked, he had just taken over after Audrey clocked out "Ella," Jalen said pointing at the person next to her "stabbed the poor kid" "Gods El, stabbing 14 year olds is a new low" Victoria called from across the room "Oh, piss off Vic" Ella spat
"What's his name?" Will asked, walking over to the boy "Lincoln" The boy replied "and I'm fine, see" he touched the stab wound and it closed "woah, I didn't think that would work" Lincoln laughed. Jasper, Will, and Janvi looked at each other, then at Lincoln. A glowing sun appeared above his head, temporarily blinding everyone in the room. "Oh for fucks sake not another one" Will complained.

The night ended with the announcement of who won the cabin decorating contest "In third place we have....THE DIONYSUS CABIN" The crowd thundered "In second place is...POSEIDON" The crowd cheered even louder. "AND TIED FOR FIRST PLACE IS...ATHENA AND APOLLO" Liana walked up to the stage and grabbed the megaphone "I'd like to thank myself, we really couldn't have done this without me" Liana bowed "Oh, and Honorary Athena member BEA CASTELLAN" The crowed cheered a little, others booed.
Bea kissed their girlfriend, Robin. The crowed picked up the two and carried them to the lake to throw them in, camp tradition and all. They threw them in and everyone cheered and started talking. I seemed to be the only person who noticed the couple struggling in the water. I tried to yell over the crowd but no one heard me. I tried for a minute of two to get someone, anyones attention Finally someone heard me. "IZZY HELP, YOU HAVE TO HELP THEM" I screamed. Izzy dove into the water, that caught some people attention. Izzy grabbed Bea and dragged her to the shore, then went back for Robin.
She pulled Robin to shore and started chest compressions on Bea, Jasper ran to them and took over. Bea was unconscious and not breathing. Jasper did mouth to mouth. "Bea please!" Robin screamed. "BEA! She sobbed "BEA NO" Castor pulled Robin into a hug. Bea wasn't breathing and she wasn't reacting to cpr. "No pulse." Jasper said "Their dead. I'm sorry Robin."
