Jalens pov
My ideal date is going to the movies, going to the mall, stargazing, driving. It is not sitting by the lake with Pollux when the sun crashes into it, but we can't always have what we want now can we?
A bus flew over my head, singeing by hair before landing in the lake and splashing Pollux and I with warm water, why was the water warm in the middle of winter you may ask? Because the sun boiled everything around it, including the canoe we were about to use.
Slowly everyone began to climb out of the bus, the first person out was a boy about 17 or 18, and man was he hot. I mean Pollux was a solid 6 but HIM? He made Pollux look like a 2. And he wasn't even in an attractive outfit, the man was wearing loafers, a t-shirt, and jeans.
The man looked at the two of us "Sorry about that, neither of you are hurt right? Zeus would smite me if someone filed another law suit against Olympus." He apologized "Uh, we're fine—" Pollux started, then looked to the man for his name "Apollo" "Oh! We're fine...sir?" Pollux said.
"That's great news!" Apollo said "Are thou going to help my hunters out or not?" A girl spoke from inside the bus "Right sorry, darling." He winked at the window of the bus, the girl inside rolled her eyes "Nevermind." She got up and kicked the emergency exit door open, helping the rest of the hunters out of the bus, followed by Grover, Izzy, Bea, Charlie, Percy, Thalia, Nicola, Nyx, Theo, and a boy I didn't know, he looked around 9 or 10. A girl was holding him up in the water, probably the boys sister, though I assumed she was a hunter as well. She had the hunter like aura around her.
The group swam to shore, well as best they could. Since we all knew Bea couldn't swim she had to be carried, and they insisted Apollo had to do it. "Thank you dilf— I mean Lord Apollo." Bea said, bowing half heartedly "You're welcome, love." He replied. Which received a few snickers from the group of campers. "Apollos got rizz." Charlie blurted, Nick glared at her. He looked so angry I thought I could see his head smoking.
"Wait, where's Annie?" Adi yelled from a ways away, I turned around to see a small group of Athena campers approaching the canoeing lake. "Adi, I'm sorry." Percy said "Sorry, for what?" Asked Malcom Pace "Where's Annabeth?" Liana demanded. "What happened?" Jo asked "Follow us, we can explain everything in the big house." Thalia said "Is she dead?" Kellsy asked, they were holding back tears.
"Please, we'll explain in a minute." Thalia said, she was starting to tear up herself now. Half of the group of campers, Izzy, Thalia, Charlie, and Bea lead the Athena kids to the big house. Bea blew Apollo a kiss before walking away. Apollo gave a crappy apology for boiling our canoe, said goodbye to Percy and Nicola, and left. This just left the hades kids, Nick, Percy, Grover, and The hunters. "Welp I've got to go to the infirmary to help Madds and Jupiter, bye." Nick said.
Grover was swooning over the hunters and offered to lead them to cabin 8. One of the hunters whispered something in the young boys ear making him look grumpy and then she walked away. "Uh do you need us to do anything?" I asked "Do you mind showing Nico to cabin 11 after I take him to the big house?" "No problem!" Pollux said. Then the two of them walked away. "What do we do while we're waiting?" I asked "Finish our date?" Pollux suggested.

Pollux and I paddled around the lake in a non boiled canoe and ate the dinner we packed, Percy returned soon after we finished eating with Nico who was jumping up and down with excitement "WE'RE PLAYING CAPTURE THE FLAG TOMORROW!" He squealed, I looked at Percy "Capture the flag? Theres way too little people for that." Percy shrugged "Thats what I said but Chiron said it's tradition when the hunters come. Anyways bye I've got to go, have fun!" Percy walked away.
We started off towards cabin 11 with Nico and he started rambling on about the gods."Did you know that Athena has +100 knowledge? Does Ares really have infinite health for 3 rounds? Do you know Apollo? I've met Apollo. He has 2000 defense."
Pollux veered us towards cabin 12 instead "Nico, want to meet my brother? He loves mythomagic he's about your age too." "Oooh who's his godly parent? Zeus? That would be SO cool did you know that-" "Pollux! Jalen! How was your date? Did you get a haircut?" Phee ran up to us from cabin 10 "Whos this?" They asked "I'm Nico!" He smiled "Hi Nico, I'm Phoenix, daughter of Aphrodite." She said "Cool! Can I meet your brother now? My sister hates Mythomagic."
"Sure bud, we'll be inside in a minute." Pollux said, Nico ran up the porch of cabin 12 and knocked on the door, Castor opened it, Nico said something I couldn't hear and Castor let him inside. "So, how was the date?" Phee asked "It was good other than Apollos bus crashing into the canoeing lake." I replied "Oh my gods Apollos here? How's my hair, does it look okay?" Phee asked making her hair puffier than usual "Apollo was here, now he's gone. You missed him sorry Phee," Pollux shrugged. "And your hair always looks great." I added "What happened with Travis I thought you two were like, together?" Pollux asked. Phees face turned pink "We are not! And it's none of your business." Phee spat, they turned and walked away towards cabin 10. Pollux and I burst out laughing.
"Well I should go now, it's getting late and Ella will have my head if I'm not back by 9." I said "I'll go get Nico, then you can show him to cabin 11." Pollux said. He walked into cabin 12 and returned a minute later with Nico. "Goodnight Jalen." He said kissing me on the forehead. "Goodnight Pollux."

I dropped Nico off at cabin 11, apparently Nico wasn't the only new camper, three new kids arrived Heja, Eunoia, and Phades all three of which were claimed by Athena. On the walk back to my cabin I passed Jasper, Nick, and Janvi yelling something about Lincoln on the way into their cabin, and Katie comforting Drew who seemed upset about how Kellsy must be feeling about Annabeth.
I walked up the steps and peered through the window of cabin 5, there were four people in the cabin talking in hushed voices. I opened the door, the conversation stopped and everyone stared at the doorway. "Oh my gods Jalen learn to knock!" Ella yelled "I literally live here!" I yelled back I looked around the room at the other kids, it was Vicky,Theo, and Nyx, the three of them started towards the door "You don't even like Poseidon kids, why are you hanging out with Vicky?!" I spat "GODS JALEN SHUT IT!" She threw a pillow at my head, I dodged it "YOU FUCKING SUCK!" I yelled "YEAH, ON YOUR MOM!" Ella retorted.
"Would you two stop fighting." Clarisse appeared in the doorway "The little kids are coming back soon and you're supposed to be setting a good example." "Fuck the little kids, Jalens a bitch." "Do you ever shut up?" I asked, Ella rolled her eyes. "Go to sleep Jalen, it's capture the flag tomorrow and with your lack of skills you'll need all the rest you can get." Ella joked. I laid down in my bed "Whatever, goodnight."
