Beas Pov
I woke up in the infirmary, there was a curtain around my hospital bed. "Bea!" squealed Beas girlfriend, Robin "Hey Robin" Bea chuckled "Where's Finn?" ... "Here" Finn smiled from the doorway, (which was really just a curtain tucked over the rod so there was an opening). He was standing next to his half sister, Izzy "You're up! Should I go get Nicola or a healer?" Izzy asked "What's up?" Nick said appearing in the makeshift doorway, he looked at Bea "Oh good you're awake, Izzy would you go get Castor and Pollux from the waiting room?" ... "Okay" Izzy replied and walked out of the room.
Finn ran up to me and gave me a hug. Finn rambled "Oh my god you missed it! it was so cool! the birds got you and then I got them with these vines and then my head started glowing and-" "Finn try not to overwhelm them" Nicola chided "Sorry-" Finn started "Wait, you got claimed?" Bea interrupted "Oh, Robin didn't tell you?" Audrey asked "YEAH! I got claimed by this wine guy-" ... "Dionysus" Robin chimed in "Yeah, Dionysus. Anyways it was so cool this glowy red thing appeared above my head and-"
"You're my brother?" Bea laughed "Yeah!" Finn responded as our two other brothers walked in the "room". "Hey how's my favorite sibling?" Pollux asked "Oh, and how's Bea too I guess" Castor added "Wow, Ha. Ha. You two are just so funny." I scoffed "I know!" Pollux sassed "Finn would you go grab some bandages so I can rewrap Beas arm?" Nick asked "Okay" Finn giggled and ran out of the room "We weren't THAT energetic as 10 year olds were we?" Robin questioned "I think thats just the meds Jasper gave him after the vine thing" Nick said. "Here" Finn called, running back into the room, "Thank you" Nick said grabbing the bandage from Finns hand. He unwrapped my arm and re-wrapped it with the new bandage. "Alright you should be good to go now, just rest your arm and be sure to ice it." "Thanks Nick" I said "You're welcome" Nicola replied

Castor, Pollux, Finn, Izzy, Robin, and I were hanging out in cabin 12 when there was a loud pounding on the door, Robin answered it and two satyrs entered the room, one was leaning on the other for support "Woah, Ginger!" Izzy called out and ran up to the two Satyrs. Gingers face was drooping to one side, he tried to talk but slurred his words, I had a flashback to my own stroke. I was 5 years old, I had all the same symptoms."Pollux! The gel stuff, now!" I commanded. Pollux scurried into the cabin kitchen, which had been installed to accomodate my disability when I was first claimed. Castor and Izzy took Ginger from the other Satyr, it was Grover, They guided him to the sofa. Gingers body slumped to the side. Robin stood behind me, in stunned silence. Finn had backed up into a corner, scared of getting in the way of his siblings. I jumped over someone's bag and snatched my testing kit from a unit. I tossed it over to Castor, as he knew what to do. I looked at the number on the monitor, it read 1.4mmol."Izzy! Go find someone from the infirmary!" I ordered. Izzy ran out of the cabin.
Pollux returned to my side, and gave me the glucose I unscrewed the cap, "Drink up" I ordered. Ginger grabbed the gel and drank it, he gagged "I know, sorry" I said. Will and Jasper rushed into the cabin, Izzy followed behind them "What's his mmol?" Will demanded "I- it's" I stammered "1.4" Castor and Robin said together. "Fuck" Jasper muttered. I couldn't do anything except watch, they hooked Ginger up to a heart monitor, it was beeping slowly "It's okay Bea" Robin comforted "He's going to be okay" she grabbed my hand. "No no no no" Will muttered under his breath, the beeping on the heart monitor got faster, "His pulse is weakening" Jasper grimaced, I saw Castor and Pollux walk Grover and Finn out of the room, Izzy just stood in silence.
I knelt by Gingers side "I-Im so sorry" I stuttered, Ginger managed to get a few words out "It's okay" Ginger said "You tried" and with that, he flat lined "no, No, NO!" I cried. Robin hugged me and turned my head away from Gingers lifeless body lying on the sofa "Time of death?" Jasper asked "1500 hours" Will replied. Gingers body turned to dust, what was left of him was a small spiky seed "Sycamore." Izzy said. "What?" Robin asked "The seed" Izzy replied "It's a Sycamore seed, they were Gingers favorite" I started laughing, I don't know why, maybe so I wouldn't cry but I couldn't stop, pretty soon everyone in the cabin was laughing (I'm so good at lightening the mood). I picked up the seed, we went outside and gathered everyone that knew him well, the kid's he saved, Izzy, Jalen, Amilia, Lia, Adi, and Jo. Jasper and Will got Audrey. Castor, Pollux, Finn, and Grover were outside the cabin already "I'm sorry" I said. The group started crying, Robin spoke up. She shared a story about the three of us, Me, Robin, and Ginger. It made everyone laugh. We went around the circle sharing stories and laughing. It reminded me of campfire sing-alongs.
By the time we were done it was around 5:00 PM, We called.over a few Demeter kids. We said a few words and planted the seed. The Demeter kids helped it grow. A large Sycamore tree grew where the seed was planted. Adi looked down at a watch on her wrist "It's almost dinnertime" Adi sniffled and wiped her tears. "Come on, Let's go girl's" Lia put her hands on her sisters, Adi and Jo's shoulders and walked with them to the dining pavilion. The rest of us followed behind except for Grover who walked over to the strawberry fields.
We walked into the dining pavilion, A boy with black hair and sea green eyes called Amilia over to his table, Charlie and Maya were sitting there too. "Whose that?" Izzy asked "Perry Johnson" I replied "Percy Jackson." Jalen corrected before going to sit with the Ares table "He's a hot shot Poseidon kid, He and Charlie are here for Halloween" Robin said "I like his sister better" I shrugged. Izzy went to sit with the Hermes kids and Robin went to sit with the Aphrodite kids. I called them both back over to the Dionysus table "Aren't we supposed to sit with our cabins?" Izzy asked "Exigent circumstance" I shrugged "And besides you're unclaimed, and Finns your half brother so you're basically an honorary Dio kid" I said "Chiron probably won't mind if you sit here every once in a while, just sit with the Hermes kids at breakfast and he'll forget all about it" Pollux said.

Dinner was almost over when there was a roar outside, no one batted an eye "What was that" Izzy worried "Don't worry about it, It's probably Connor Stoll" I replied, she looked confused but ignored it, until it happened again.
The second roar was closer, this time a few heads turned towards the door. "I TOLD YOU, YOU COULDN'T HIDE" A voice thundered from outside the dining pavilion. I looked at Izzy, she looked terrified. A few kids around the pavilion drew their weapons and stood up. Izzy didn't look scared anymore, she willed her ring to turn to a sword and walked towards the door of the dining pavilion. Adi and Jo tried to follow but their sisters Liana and Annabeth stopped them "She's going to die, she can t fight!" Jo yelled at her sisters but they just sat her back down. Janvi stood up and ran ahead of Izzy "You're going to get yourself killed" She said, Izzy didn't listen, I stood up and turned to my siblings and girlfriend "Stay here, please" I told them, then ran up next to Janvi. I wasn't going to let the two of them fight whatever was out there by themselves. None of the other kid's followed, probably because most of them were older year rounders who couldn't be bothered and the others were young kid's who couldn't fight. Percy didn't follow because he was holding hands the three of his sisters back from running outside.
The three of us walked outside. We were faced with a manticore. Izzy looked angry "Don't do anything stupid Izzy" I warned. She ignored me and charged she attempted to stab the manticore but it dodged her blade and she fell flat on her ass. She just stood back up, I didn't know the history behind her and the manticore but I sensed it wasn't a good one. The manticore charged Janvi but she jumped out of the way. "Do either of you have a plan?" I asked "Nope" the both of them replied "great" I muttered under my breath. A few kids grouped around to watch, I assumed they would step in if something happened to one of us but Izzy looked at them like she wanted to stab them more than the manticore.
I drew my dagger and threw it at the manticore to get it's attention away from Izzy and Janvi, that was stupid because now it was coming at me, fast (and I had no weapon). It shot a spike towards Janvi, it hit her sleeve and pinned her to a picnic table. The kids watching drew their weapons and got in fighting stances, A larger group of kid's from the dining pavilion came outside, including Percy and the Poseidon cabin. The manticore was about to claw my chest when Izzy ran at it with her sword and chopped it's head off. The kid's started to applaud but then they stopped and stood in stunned silence gawping at Izzy, I followed their gazes. Above Izzys head was a glowing blue trident.
