THE JEDI BELIEVE that all living things, once dead, will become one with the force.
A never ending cycle of life, one thing passed onto another. A perfect, and natural, order of events.
But, after experiencing a five-and-half year long imprisonment away from both the Order and all forms of freedom conceivable, Padawan Auden Tycho is starting to have his doubts about whether or not that was true.
Auden knows death well. He's greeted it at his doorstep far too many times to count, whether that be down to his horrifically bad luck or from his childish clumsiness. He's shaken it's hand and lead it inside to chat, until the time came for him to kick it out for overstaying its welcome.
He knows what it feels like to die.
So then, the question becomes; why doesn't he know what the acceptance of the force feels like?
Is it because of his innate aggressiveness? His strange and awkward disposition? His supposed failings as a Jedi? His messy tendencies? Auden doesn't know, and with a brand new conflict arising in the galaxy, he doesn't have time to find out.
Now entering the clone wars, freshly out of a bacta tank and tossed towards a brand new Jedi Master (that being Obi-Wan Kenobi), Auden finds himself asking an entirely new and different question than before;
Will the force accept him as he is?
