What exactly
Can or will
The outcome be
When it comes to one's life
And abilities
Dreams and goals
Blended and mixed in
With various reality
Vast results or none at all
The rise or fall
Seeing the fruits of good work
Or not as of yet
Wrong turns and decisions
Filled with regret
Taking unnecessary risk
Or rolled the dice upon a good bet
Pushed back and forth
Or held at bay
Sleepless nights
Or sun filled days
Feeling one way
Or with many involved
Much to say
And with a true cause
Or scared to act
Pull back or a nervous react
One step forward
When it should've been ten
For do you know
Where you're going
And remember where you've been
The for real or the pretend
The finished or where to begin
If not now then when
Through thick and thin
Holding strong or not
Despite the wind
In the game of life
To lose or win
So on and so forth
On or off course
Marriage or divorce
Strong voice or going hoarse
Many words spoken or written
Hands on or off
And as such
Thoughts conveyed or stayed hidden
Through the rough and tough
So much gained
Or nowhere near enough
Truly felt or the untouched
Acquired or no results
The inaction versus what has been done
Because no matter what
There will always be
An outcome
