One of the hardest things in
Life to do is
Letting go
Letting go of the old
And in with the new
Letting go of the past
And embracing the present
Letting go of past pain
And heartaches
Letting go of certain traumas
And drama
Letting go of what was and could have been
And trade up for what's available
Both now and for the future
Letting go of regrets
Letting go of options gone by
Letting go of bad people
Letting go of bad memories
And instead create better ones
Letting go of the negatives
And accept the positives
Letting go of previous relationships
And look forward to something
Or someone different
Letting go of stubbornness
And closed mindedness
Letting go failures
And work at more success
Let go of the too much
And be alright with a little less
Let go of the emptiness
And try on the full
Letting go of the obstacles
And instead embrace real freedom
Letting go of stress
And greet the healthy
Let go of what stunts and hinders
Progress and allow yourself to grow
Let go of the hidden and froze
And expose more of you
Even to your own self
A smart and careful increase
And nothing to your detriment
No more lost but found
No more walls and blocks
But rather leaps and bounds
Let go of unrealized dreams
And focus instead on even better ones
No more downs
But rather rising up
And let go of the hesitation
But rather own the situation
Let go and cause sparks
Instead of being torn apart
Let go and wreak havoc
In a good and major way
Instead of falling into a depression
That can last for many nights and days
And no more being pushed
Around
Side to side
To and fro
As we all tend to face
Sometimes
Whether realized and conquered
Or instead found a way to cope
Put on a real show and gain a sense
Of some false hope
But you must strive to find
The cure and antidote
For one of the hardest things
In life to do is
Really letting go

PoetryA book about personal life issues and all that is often held in, suppressed, gone unspoken, not dealt with, expressed, or pretending it doesn't exist nor has any real effect. This collection of poems are ones that I feel many will be able to relate...
