I stood there motionless for probably about 2 minutes until she broke me out of the silence.
"Look at you. Your so beautiful and you've grown so much." she smiled.
I just stood there. With my mouth dropped open.
She started moving towards me with her arms out and wide.
"Are you planning on hugging a tree or something? Cause your definitely not hugging me."
I said moving out if the way.
Hey, that rhymes. I thought to myself.
"Sweetie. I know your mad at me from when you were 3 but you must have forgotten most of that day right?" She says as she tilts her head.
"Yeah. I forgot the day when my own mother called me a runt and that no would love me. That memory got removed a long time ago." I said having so much sarcasm in it, I almost laughed at it.
"Look Kyra." She said coming closer.
"I was upset and angry I didn't have my babies any more and I regret what I said to you and that's why I came only to you. I've always wanted to see my 3 girls grow up and have you girls back more than anything. But your dad kept me away from you girls." She explained sitting down on a log.
"Why don't you just leave and I won't call the cops on you." I said crossing my arms.
"Okay. Okay. But I just want to give you something." she said pulling something from behind her back.
"I'll put it down on the log and I'll leave." she said putting her hands up.
She put a bag down and turned towards me.
She smiled and walked away.
I walked over to the bag with tears in my eyes.
There were boxes all wrapped with bows on them.
I grabbed the bag and ran back to the cabin.
****
I ran in the house and saw Aunt Alexis on the couch playing solitaire on the table.
"Hey Kyra. How was your walk." she said turning towards me and smiling.
"It was good." I said wiping my eyes.
"What's the matter?" She said coming over to me and giving me a hug.
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing." I said breaking down and crying.
"Kyra. It's okay. Whatever it is, your not gonna die. You'll be okay. Your a very strong girl." she did smiling.
"If I tell you, do you promise not to tell anyone. Especially dad." I said sitting down on the couch.
"Well that depends on what it is."
"Ok, so when I went in the woods I sat down on a log and someone came up to me and it turned out to be my mom." I said as fast as I could trying to be fast so hopefully she couldn't understand me.
"Your mother found you and talked to you.?" She said getting up off the couch.
"What are you doing?"
"Calling the police so they can get her.
There's a restraining order against her for you girls." she said with a cold look in her eyes that I've never seen before.
"Fine but please know she didn't hurt me or anything. Okay?" I said grabbing the bag I had in my hand from 'her' and got up.
"I'll keep that in mind." she said chuckling as she picked up the phone.
I walked into my room debating if I should tell Kim and Kiely what happened. But I knew no matter what, dad would find out and it wouldn't be good.
This was gonna be a long day.
