Chapter 7

Sami's POV

Looking into his blue eyes, I find myself blushing. How have I never noticed how blue his eyes were before. Or how pink and full his lips are. Or ho- whoa what the- what am I thinking? Wait, his lips were moving. What did he say?

"He said, he won't let it." I heard Jenna say.

"Oh!"

I smile, "You're always one to protect me."

"Always" His eyes became soft when he said that. His eyes actually became lighter. They're so beautiful- Stop thinking about his eyes!

Clearing my throat, "We should probably take our seats." I look around the room. "Huh, not as scary as I made it out to be." I muttered under my breath.

"Well, you usually overreact." Anna pipes in.

"No one asked you!" I shove her away from me making her laugh. I turn back around to see Jackson staring at me. Not in a creepy way, but in a way I can't explain.

"I can. It's called love." Jenna said in a sing-song voice.

"He doesn't feel that way about me." I practically shout in my head.

I'm pulled from my thoughts to hear the teacher telling us to take out seats.

"Come on." Jackson says, leading me to the back of the room. I take a seat next Anna, while Jackson takes the one next to me.

10 minutes later

Okay....I am so bored. No one told me how boring detention could be. I know it's only been ten minutes, but I can't take it anymore. I wish something would happen.

The door opens and I look up.

Never mind I want to go back to being bored.

There standing in the door frame is my mate. I frown, for some reason saying mate sounds wrong. Out of the corner of my room I saw Jackson stiffen.

Caiden saw it as well and smirked. Jacka-

"Gross." I hear Anna mutter. I turn and smile at her which she returns. "Why does he have to be here?"

"Because I knew you missed me, so here I am." he said spreading his arms.

"Drop dead." Anna scowled at him. Most of the kids gasped at what she said, but I am more than used to it by now.

"You only wish that could happen."

"I do wish that could happen."

"But it won't" He smirked while saying it.

"You never know" Anna smiled.

As a future alpha, he didn't take that threat too kindly. With a thundering look on his face, he started striding towards her. Before I could even get up, Jackson put a hand on my shoulder. Which caused me to jump from the shock and tingles that shot throughout my body. What the hell? Before I could dwell on it any further, Jackson jumped over my desk and in front of Anna.

Jackson is a few inches taller than Caiden, with broader shoulders. And since he works out while Caiden does nothing but mess with girls he's much stronger. And buffer.

I tune back in to hear Caiden say, "Get out of my way!" barely controlling his anger.

"Not going to happen." Jackson said, in a calm voice. How he's remaining calm right I have know idea. I would be going crazy by now. I look over at Anna, her eyes are wide open. This is the first time I've seen her actually look terrified. I get up and grab her hand, pulling her out of her seat and across the room. Good thing she's a werewolf or else I probably would have ripped her arm off by how fast and hard I was pulling her.
