I awaken early the next day, our first day of classes, unlike the others who passed out as soon as we had arrived in our shared dorm, I stayed up later, and packed my things into a single corner, using shadow clones. It left me tired, but I'm an early riser anyways. I quickly get dressed and clean myself, looking presentable, I also make sure to replace the bandages, I need to make sure they don't see the scars. Once I'm done, I silently leave the team behind to get breakfast from the cafeteria. After eating I go to the library, and quickly check out some books in the history section, there's a few scrolls tucked away, among them, is one with the Uchiha Clan crest, I grab it, and while standing at the shelf, begin reading it.
Descendants of Indra, they were amongst the strongest during the warring states period. During this time, they mostly fought the other strongest clan the descendants of Indra's brother Asura, the Senju clan. Through millennia of war, they emerged as the two best. And even among them two Shinobi, ninja, lay claim to being the strongest. Madara Uchiha, and Hashirama Senju.
I stare at the picture of the two closely, they seem so... familiar. I place the scroll back, likely I won't be able to check it out on my first day. I make my way out the time is now, 8:50 and so, I make my way to my first class, Grimm Studies. I arrive at class and wait silently, just before class begins, my team arrives sitting around me.
"Monsters! Demons!" Our professor Peter Port, speaks loudly, and quite boringly, but I pay attention nonetheless, a good education is always important. "Prowlers of the night. Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names. But I, merely refer to them as prey." He laughs, earning a dead silence from the class. "Uhh, and you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy. Now as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other kingdoms. Are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world. Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces. And that's where we come in. Hunstmen! Huntresses!" He clicks his tongue winking at Yang. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. "Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves. From what you ask? Why... the very world!"
It is at this point I must remind myself that this is our teacher, a self aggrandizing fool, I sigh, and grab my journal, activating my sharingan I quickly take all of the notes on the board and write them in my journal. After his mindless rambling he asks for a volunteer to which Weiss responds quickly and angrily. You see, while he was speaking, Ruby was drawing pictures mocking our teacher, making a tower out of her school supplies, and picking her nose, Weiss must've reached her melting point. She quickly goes and changes to her combat outfit, and gets her sword. Despite being in class, I keep my knives and throwing stars on me at all times.
"Gooo Weiss!" Yang cheers.
"Don't die." I mutter grabbing one of my newest books and beginning to read.
"Yeah represent team RWBY!" Ruby shouts.
"Ruby, I'm trying to focus."
"Oh, sorry." Ruby apologizes.
"No, she's just being an ice queen."
"Alright! Let the match, begin!" Port opens the cage and out steps a Boarbatusk.
The Grimm quickly rushes out of the cage towards Weiss, who dodged out of the way watching her foe. Weiss and the Grimm rush forward, it dodges her strike aimed for its head, and catches her rapier in its tusks. Ruby attempts to cheer on Weiss, but the momentary distraction allows the Grimm to disarm her, before launching her away. When Ruby tries to give her advice Weiss finally snaps, shouting back at Ruby. I finally have enough and slam my hands down, walking away from the pair. I wait outside the class, not commenting on Weiss walking away.
"Weiss!" Ruby calls out to her partner.
"What?!"
"What's wrong with you? Why are you being-!"
