God, I hope this is a severe enough payment. I think to myself following Weiss, Ruby, and Yang. We're doing a daily rotation thing where one of us will pick a place for the team to hang out at. Today is Weiss' day, and she chose the docks of all places.
"Ah, the Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!" Weiss says cheerfully.
"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss." Ruby says "it's kinda weirding me out."
"How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world!"
"Well, the current cultures of the world." I say watching as a spray-painted picture of the Uchiha Crest is being scrubbed away, three claw marks covering it being scrubbed away as well. You really have fallen hard, Adam.
"Well, there will be dances, parades, a tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!" Weiss cheers.
"And there it is." I groan. Grabbing my scroll reading more about my clan.
Yang sighs as we continue walking. "You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring."
"Quiet you."
"Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?" Yang asks.
"Ugh, they smell like fish." Ruby groans.
"Mmm, fish." I mutter. I may not be a cat Faunus, but Blake really rubbed off on me.
"I heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom." Weiss explains.
I glance to the others. "She wants to spy on them so we'll have the upper hand during the tournament.." I explain standing next to Weiss.
"Ah! You can't prove that."
"You're not denying it, hime." I retort.
Ruby however looks towards a shop nearby covered in caution tape. We walk over as a group, Ruby leading them. "What happened here" little red asks the detective.
"Robbery. Second dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle." The investigator says walking away.
"That's terrible." Yang says after a scoff.
"They left all the money again." The second detective says checking the register.
"Yeah, just doesn't make a lick o' sense. Who needs that much dust?"
"I dunno, ya know what I mean?"
"You thinking the Uh, White Fang?" The first detective speculates, earning a scoff from me. This doesn't even look like one of our hits.
"Yeah, I'm thinking we don't get paid enough."
Weiss huffs. "The White Fang. What an awful bunch of degenerates."
"Oh, the racisms back." I say bluntly.
"It's not racist to hate an organization that wants humanity dead."
"It's not racist to hate a group that's tortured you before but hey, I know Faunus who hate Human Supremacist groups. You're judging the group because they're Faunus." I gesture to the shop. "This doesn't even look like a Fang hit."
"How would you know?" Weiss says with a glare.
"Cause I grew up surrounded by Faunus. Many of my childhood friends became members of the Fang. Trust me, I've seen Fang hits on shops. They never leave the money, and they scratch the shop's logo, this..." I point to the damages. "Is far more similar to the works of petty thief's like Torchwick or the Spiders."
