Your point of view:

Five. More. Hours.

Five more fucking hours at this coffee shop, dealing with 'I want a latte, I want a frappuccino with no ice, I want, I want, I want.'

Do you know what I want? My bed and my boyfriend. I only have one of those at work and it's not like I get to enjoy my time with him here very much.

"This stupid machine is broken, again." He huffs, hitting the top of it firmly.

"Tyler, I seriously doubt assaulting the machine will do anything to help." I state while pulling out the tools to fix the latest problem with it.

I get to work while Tyler attempts to entertain the restless customers. I close it up and quickly make their orders before resting my head on Tyler's shoulder.

"I'm exhausted." I state as he wraps his arms around my waist, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Go and have your break, I can deal with this alone for now, just be back for the lunch rush, okay?"

I nod softly in response and make my way to the break room. I take a seat and fall asleep soon after setting my alarm.

I wake up promptly as my alarm blares through the room, hurrying out to my struggling boyfriend. I chuckle to myself and quickly help him to serve the customers.

-time skip brought to you by my lack of will to live-

I lay down on his bed quickly and he lays his head in my chest, turning on our favourite show. I let my hands wander to his hair, playing with it gently while he relaxes in my arms.

"That shift felt like an eternity." He sighs, moving closer to me, if that's even possible.

"It really did, I'm starving, wanna order takeout?"

He grins and nods.

"You just read my mind."
