~ The reeking smell of alcohol mixed with sweaty bodies filled his nostrils. The pounding music rang through the air. People were yelling the lyrics, some of which they were making out to the point that they looked like they were fucking each other. Others were quietly sitting in the corner, absorbing their surroundings, and watching everyone have fun. Xavier pushed through the crowd, going to the table his friends always sat at. He reached the table, and his friends were laughing and yelling jokes while drowning in liquor. They were sitting at a round table with only one spot available.
Rowan looked to the side, seeing his friend, and threw his hands up like a little kid seeing his favorite person. "Xavier!" He yelled, gathering everyone's attention at the table and making them look at him. "Well, well, look who decided to show up," Kent, the siren boy, smirked before bringing the glass to his lips while drinking the bitter drink. Ajax, the gorgon, looked at his pale friend. His skin looked more pale than usual. "You alright, man?" He asked, concerned. Xavier nodded his head, taking a seat between Kent and Rowan. He reached for the bottle that was in the middle, half full, taking a big long swing and letting it down his throat. The liquid burned, and it burned so good. Xavier squinted his eyes from the awful taste. "This is disgusting," he placed the bottle down. His friends chuckled a bit.
"So what made you change your mind?" Rowan, the telekineticist asked, pushing his glasses back up with his index finger on the bridge of his nose. Xavier shrugged his shoulders, not wanting to tell them what happened in the changing room. He knew he could trust them, but he didn't know how he felt about it. Should he hate Tyler? Definitely, Tyler always acts like a different person when he is around his group of friends. They always targeted him and bullied him for absolutely no reason. Xavier can easily defend himself, but he didn't want to disappoint his father. Starting a fight with a normie would get him the longest lecture of his life.
His legs were anxiously bouncing on the floor, and he felt a wave of nausea hit him like a trunk. Why was he being so dramatic? It was a stupid tap kiss, one that he yearned for to be long. Something unlocked inside of him—something that was craving to come out. He didn't understand where these feelings were coming from. Was he gay? No, he still found women attractive, but he knew deep inside his mind that he always found the opposite sex more intimidating. He's been wanting to explore his choices for a while. Xavier was afraid of being judged by his choices, especially by his father.
Kent lays a hand on his shoulder, giving it a small, gentle squeeze. "Dude, the last time I saw you this bad was when you and Bianca broke up—ouch!" Kent rubbed the back of his head as Ajax glared at him. Kent scowled at his friend. "You hit me." Rowan bit his bottom lip, trying not to burst out laughing, but that completely failed when Kent made eye contact. Xavier chuckled a bit; he had to admit Kent would always say the wrong thing at the worst times. "Speaking of the devil," Ajax announced, and everyone at the table followed his eyes. And there she was, Xavier's ex, walking towards the table, swaying her hips at every step she took. Xavier used to love that walk, but now everything she does irritates him.
