~ As the vehicle drove by, multiple brightly colored trees flashed by. Autumn has the impression of being a long, sluggish death. It's not a bad time of year; Y/N enjoys the sporadically warm days when she can go for a walk alone. Additionally, the season's hues, the wind, and the rain feel energizing and potent. The quiet girl sat next to Wednesday while their parents sat in front of them. Pugsely sat in the passenger seat as the driver, Lurch, drove down the endless road. A sketch book sat on her lap while she drew doodles on the almost-filled page. Her hand had a mind of its own; once the pencil hit the thin sheet, it would aimlessly sketch the weirdest portraits. Well, that's what her sister says, but she likes eerie mysteries, things that no human being can possibly describe.
The soft music played in the background. Their father, Gomez Addams, sang to his wife while she smiled lovingly at her dear husband. Wednesday looked like she was ready to puke her guts out. Y/N adored their relationship and hoped one day she could find someone who loved her just as much as her father loved her mom. The couple began to sing along while caressing each other's hands. Wednesday closed her eyes for a moment, sighing annoyed. A group of ravens headed towards their vehicle, hitting the windshield and making the girl jump and mess up her drawing in the process.
Gomez slowly leaned toward Morticia and connected their lips hungrily. She pulled away, humming in satisfaction, to look at her daughters. "Darling, how long do you intend to give us the cold shoulder?" She asks, slightly tilting her head and holding her hands on her lap.
Wednesday turns around. "Lurch, please remind my parents that I'm no longer speaking to them," she says, facing them once again. Lurch grunts in response. Morticia looks at the artistic girl, sending her a warm smile. Y/N wasn't ignoring them; she honestly didn't care that she was being sent off to another school again, but she did care how she was easily being sent far away from them.
Gomez leans a little closer to the girls. "I promise you, my little vipers, you will love Nevermore. Won't they, Tish?" The mother nodded her head, agreeing with her husband. "Of course. It's the perfect school for them." Wednesday was getting agitated, not wanting to follow her mother's footsteps. "Why? Because it's the perfect school for you?" Y/N finally spoke, earning their attention. "I have no interest in following in your footsteps, becoming captain of the fencing team, queen of the dark prom, and president of the seance society," Wednesday adds on to what her sister said. Y/N nodded her head, agreeing, and went back to her drawing.
"I merely meant that finally my girls will be among peers who will understand you. Maybe you'll make some friends." Morticia smiles generously, while Gomez also smiles, showing his teeth. "Nevermore is like no other boarding school. It's a magical place. It's where I met your mother and we fell in love," Their father said this, facing his wife as his eyes filled with love. Morticia hums, slowly leaning back in.
"You guys are making me nauseous," Y/N stops drawing and looks at them. It could sometimes get out of hand when their parents were together. It always looked like they were ready to jump on each other's bones. "Not in a good way," Wednesday says, completely sick of this. "Darling, we aren't the ones who got you expelled. That boy's family was going to file attempted murder charges. How would that have looked on your records?" Morticia says, in a silvery tone.
"Terrible. Everyone would know we failed to get the job done," Y/N says distantly, not wanting to know what would happen if they did. She places her noise-cancellation back on her ear, tired of hearing them talk and knowing how they felt.
