~ Heavy gray clouds obscured the sky; trees were bending and whipping in the wind. A fresh, clean smell followed the storm. Small droplets patted down on the orange bag covered with blood as it ran down to the grass. Sheriff Donovan Galpin analyzes the scene in front of him. A man's head lay on the ground with his corpse missing. "Where's the rest of him?" He asked a woman who stood next to him. "Well, the torso and the arms are over there. We found a leg by the lake. There's an arm in that tree over there, and the rest of the parts are so far unaccounted for." The woman points directly where they are located, not far from each other.
Donovan shook his head in disbelief. What kind of animal would have done this? He scowled at himself, animal? Impossible. It had to be one of those idiots from Nevermore, a stupid school for outcasts. He was going to bring that school down and prove it was someone from that uncanny academy. "It matches the profile of the other two attacks last week," she explained, recognizing the gruesome crime.
The sheriff nodded his head, agreeing with her. "All right, issue a warning. Keep hikers out of the woods: Don't approve any more campfire permits for the foreseeable future." His hands were inside his pockets, trying to keep warm from this harsh rain.
"What do you want me to tell the press?" She asked as more rain poured down on them, soaking their clothes in the process.
He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Tell them it was a bear attack."
"You don't believe that, Sheriff." The woman knew it had to be something else or someone else.
"No, I don't. Whatever did this wasn't human. Look, I know these murders are connected to Nevermore. I just can't prove it yet. So until I can, it's a goddamn bear." Donovan said, leaving no room for discussion, as he pointed toward the way to the school, put his hands back in his pockets, and looked back at the body parts scattered around the woods.

Bursting through the front door, Tyler hurriedly slammed it shut. He ran up the flight of stairs into the bathroom as he tried to cover his naked body, which was covered in blood. Turning the knob of the sink, he started to rinse his shaky hands. His whole body was shaking with adrenaline running through his veins. The sound of his breathing was shallow, and he shut his eyes, trying to calm himself. His whole body was screaming in pain, as were his feet from running in the woods.
A sudden flashback from their scream made his stomach turn. The metallic smell of blood was still lingering in his nostrils. The way their bones broke made his skin crawl in the worst possible way. Tyler leaned on the sink, feeling like he had to throw up. His world slowly started to spin; the sound of the running water was getting fainter. "Fuck," he groaned in agony.
