Once upon a time, a King and Queen were witnessing Winter in their kingdom.

When the snowflakes were falling like feathers from heaven, the queen sat sewing at her window, which had a frame of brown ebony wood.

As she sewed, she sewed Pink Roses into her tapestry and drank her Hot Cocoa as she worked. "If only I had a child as White as snow, as Pink as Roses, and as Brown as the Hot Cocoa in this Mug."

Soon afterwards, She had a daughter who was as White as snow, as Pink as Roses, and as Brown as Hot Cocoa, and therefore they called her Clarisse De Cocoa. When Clarisse was born, her mother, the queen died.

A year later the king remarried another woman. She was a beautiful woman, but she was proud and arrogant, and she could not stand it if anyone might surpass her in beauty.

The Queen had a magic mirror with the name Kyosuke Mamo engraved on it.

Every morning she stood before it, looked at herself, and asked: "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, Who's the fairest of them all?"

"You, my queen, are fairest of them all." answered Mamo.

The queen was satisfied, for she knew that the mirror spoke the truth and only the truth.
