"Aaron," I whisper shaking my husband awake.

"Hannah, what do you want? It's too early!" he whines lifting his head to look at me.

Aaron has never been a morning person unless he has to be that's why I always give him coffee because it wakes him up even the smell of it wakes him up.

His voice is coated with sleep and he's half asleep.

I sigh and kiss his forehead then say, "I'm gonna go make coffee. Are you..."

I laugh because he is already back asleep and looks adorable with his hair standing on end. He even has somewhat of a slight beard, but he's been moody lately. Sometimes he doesn't take his medicine and gets moody like a little boy.

I put my robe on over my bra and short then go into the kitchen to make coffee it doesn't take long for Aaron to get up once he smells the coffee. I smile and kiss him when he gives me a hug from behind.

"What did you want to ask me earlier?"

"Today is Jayla's birthday Aaron, and I would really like it if you would clean up your pile of laundry in the clean basket. I am going to decorate the pool area after you clean it out and check the filter, we also need to pick up her cake from the bakery, and make sure her friends are still coming."

"Damn, that's a lot to do today! Can't Nick and Tyler have it at their house? It's much bigger and fancier."

"I'll try to call Tyler and see if she can perceade Nick but don't count on it."

I get off the phone and tell my husband the news that the party was moved to his brother's house he smiles and says, "Thank God!"

"Aaron, you still have to do your chores today. Can you please start taking your meds again?"

"Fine. And why?"

I pour two cups of coffee and sit down next to my husband and say, "Because you need them and when you don't take them you get moody. Please if anything don't do it for yourself but do it for me Airboy."

"Fine, I'll take them after we finish our coffee."

"Don't you think it's funny that we got married in August and had Jayla a few years later in August?"

"Kind of," he replies.

"I love you, Aaron," I tell him and we kiss hard.

Out of breath from kissing he says, "I...love...you...more...Hannah Cabana."

After Aaron and I finish our coffee we shower together. We take turns as always getting washed up and then stand under the water together kissing. I loved kissing my husband in the shower because it takes me back to being eighteen with him and how wild we were.

We finish making out and I just stay in his embrace for a while and lick off water droplets from his neck and shoulder. He kisses them off of me and I stroke his wet hair.

"Okay, Airboy, let's wake up Jayla," I say.

We get out of the shower and get dressed, well Aaron leaves his shirt off like always and I smile at that.

"Jayla Angel Carter! It's time to wake up because today is special. You were born to us when we had lost all hope. Today is the day you were born in the car. Happy Birthday. Happy Lucky number seven!" Aaron sings loudly as we walk in.

Jayla wakes up and runs up to us excitedly giving us each a hug before Aaron picks her up. During breakfast, Jayla is quiet until I say, "Jayla, when you finish eating it's bath time."

"No! I'm not taking a bath," she responds flatly.

"Aaron, that reminds me. Did you take your medicine?"

"No. And I don't feel like."

"Aaron Charles Carter, take your meds and remember that we need to set a good example for our daughter. We are parents now."

"Fine," he says getting up and going over to the counter.

"Airboy, when I get back your chores had better be done or at least started."

After taking his medicine we kiss and Jayla makes gagging sounds but we ignore her and finish our kiss.

"I love you, Hannah Cabana."

"I love you too Airboy," I murmur into my husband's neck.

I give Jayla her bath when Aaron agrees to sing Aaron's Party for her since it's her birthday. That makes her listen to me about getting a bath. She's all dressed in her party outfit and has her hair in French braids when she comes running from her room.

I laugh at all of her energy following her as she runs around the house yelling I Want Candy at the top of her lungs, she runs into her dad who laughs and picks her up saying, "Jayla, the first rule of singing is not to scream the song unless you are doing screamo. Otherwise, you'll hurt your vocal cords."

When she looks confused Aaron smiles at her and then me, "Aaron, I think you lost her at screamo." I say.

I send Aaron to pick up the cake and drop it off at Nick and Tyler's house while I go through the list of our daughter's friends to let them know the location change and if they are still coming. When nobody answers I leave a message for the parents.

"Mama, did they answer?" Jayla asks me.

I shake my head no and she looks at me sadly with her blue eyes but then walks away. I watch her walk off and feel terrible for her.

"Hannah, I'm home!" Aaron calls.

I give him a hug and say, "Nobody answered Airboy."

"I'm not surprised, Hannah Cabana."

"What do you mean you aren't surprised?"

"She gave invitations to the girls who pick on her in school even though she knew they wouldn't come. She gets bullied for being beautiful and for being my daughter."

"Aaron, I...I don't know what to say! That's awful."

"I know. She's like me, Hannah,  I got bullied badly in school."

"I know you did."

Jayla runs out and gives Aaron a hug and he hugs her tight, "Jayla, I love you. And I want you to know that kids picked on me too."

"Daddy, how'd you find out about the cards?" she asks softly.

"I saw you give them out and how they responded Angel. Don't feel terrible about it because you still have your family and your cousins will be there."

"Daddy?"

"Yes?"

"You know what I want for my birthday?"

"What baby?"

"A baby sister so I can have a friend."

"I'll ask the storks to bring you one. Okay?"

"Okay," she says as Aaron sets her down.

Jayla does end up having a good party after all with Nick grilling and Jayla playing with her cousins .
