Chapter Eight-Howadie In The House

(Sadie) Tyler and I are on our way to Home Eck talking about our favorite bands when suddenly I decide to ask about her and Nick.

"So what did you and Nick do the other day when I left the room?"

"That's none of your concern busybody Sadie!"

"Oh, come on Ty, you know you want to! So just tell me."

"Can't we're in Home Eck now Sade, and I don't want people especially Jim to know about Nick and I!"

"So something did happen between you and Nick. I knew it!"

"OMG Sadie! Eat my shorts!" 

Our teacher Mrs. McFadden raises her eyebrows at us before just shaking her head and making her way up to the center of the classroom. Tyler and I sit down with our other two best homies Katrina and Jessica at a table near Jim, Norman, and Bob.

"Hey Ty," Katrina says nudging her.

(Tyler) 

"What?" 

"Jim is looking at you!"

"OMG Katrina, that's so buzz hype!" I say sarcastically not really caring about Jim at this point. Not since I'd kissed Nick Carter.

"You feeling alright dawg?"

"Yeah, I'm fine I...I'm seeing someone else that's all."

"So something did happen between you and Nick! And you won't tell me what happened Tyler Marie Penn."

"Who's Nick and what's Sadie talking about?" Jessica asks excitedly.

To my dismay my cheeks turn pink because Nick calls me Marie and I ignore my friend listening to Mrs. McFadden's lecture on the recipe for the chocolate cake. Eventually she releases us to make the cake ourselves as I stir the batter I find myself thinking of Nick's soft full lips against mine, and his gentle, sweet, passionate kisses.

"Hey Tyler, you look cute today and I like the ice in your ears."

"Thanks Jim, but I...I'm seeing  someone else or at least I think that I like someone else. I am really sorry Jim, because you are a really sweet guy so please forgive me for not feeling the same anymore."

"It's fine I understand if you've met someone else Tyler, whoever he is I hope he makes you as happy as I would've, and I hope he treats you right." I smile awkwardly then go back to mixing the cake batter.

Sometime later as Sadie and I are sitting in front of Hannah's elementary school Sadie finally asks me the dreaded question about Nick and I. 

"So Tyler, when were you planning on telling me that you're Nick's girl?"

"I don't know if I ever planned on telling you about Nick and I because I know how fan-girly you get, so I didn't want you to bombard him with questions!"

"No, I'm bombarding my best dawg instead of  him because I want her to tell me what happened!"

"We just made out." I mumble feeling to nervous to admit. 

"What did you say?" I sigh and turn on the radio perking up when an I hear an Insync song playing, and Joey Fatone singing.

Sadie yells over the pounding music, "Insync sucks and Joey Fatone is ugly!"

I turn the music down glaring at my best friend before saying, "We just made out. Now you take that back about my favorite band and Joey Fatone, Sadie Elizabeth Owens!"

"Take what back homie?"

"You know what."

We stop fighting due to the arrival of Hannah in my Lamborghini before I can say a word Sadie shouts, "OMG! I can't believe that one of Insync's biggest fangirls just betrayed them by kissing Nickolas Gene Carter!"

"Screw off Sadie." 

She ignores me saying instead, "Was he a great kisser?" I nod drifting off a bit as I recall his soft lips pressing a gentle kiss to mine, almost as if Sadie can read my thoughts she says,

"Did he slip you some tongue Tyler?"

I gag and slam on my breaks just in time for the stop sign.

"Hell, no! And even if he did I sure wouldn't be telling you Sadie Owens."

"Um..." A very disturbed Hannah begins.

"Do you think that it's possible to change the subject Sade? It makes me quite uncomfortable."

"Thank you Hannah, for pointing that out. I agree with you why don't we change the subject, and talk about something else!" I say glancing in Sadie's direction and glaring at her. 

"Fine we'll talk about something else!"

"How was your day at school Hannah?" I ask her.

"Good considering the fact that I got to tell my friends that Aaron Carter came to my house to play. They all got excited when I told them that Aaron held my hand, touched my stuff, hugged me, and told me that he thought I was cute in my overalls."

"You know Ana, before you know it you'll be just as famous as Aaron when you go to school!" I tease her smiling. 

She laughs and says, "Someday when I'm his wife I will be and the whole world will know my name, because I'm Aaron's Girl!"

Sadie and I laugh before she says to her younger sister, "Oh Hannah, you are only 10 years old so that's going to be a while before you can marry him!"

"Sadie?" 

"Yes, Hannah?"

"Are you gonna marry Howie and is Tyler gonna marry Nick?"

We both laugh and I say, "Hannah, it's to early to know that but I guess it's okay to imagine those things on the remote chance that it happens!"

"But Howadie in da house now and we all got to support Howadie!"

"What's Howadie?" Sadie and I ask in unison.

"It's Howie and Sadie combined together to make one name because they are super cute and deserve their own name!"

Sadie blushes and shouts, "Tylick!" 

"Oh, hell no don't you dare due that with Nick and I's names it makes me feel like a guy when you do that!"

"Tough." she says poking me and raising her eyebrows at me playfully.
