___________ 🌙____________

The day had started off normally like any other with my alarm clock waking me up with its constant ringing. I turned it off and got up feeling energised and ready to seize the day. I got ready for work with a hop in my step, actually putting some effort in to look good today by adding a little bit more makeup than usual and tying my hair back which framed my face nicely.

It was actually a nice day outside too, nice and sunny without a cloud in sight which was odd for winter in London but I wasn't going to complain. I took this opportunity to walk to the train station instead of having mum drive me. The warmth of the sun felt nice on my skin as I soaked up its rays, barely breaking a sweat as I walked along the footpath.

By the time I had gotten to the platform at the station, the train had just arrived. It felt like luck or some other force like that was on my side today, especially as I boarded the train carriage and saw a five-pound note sticking out of the slightly padded seat I was sitting on. I could feel that today was gonna be a good day and I prayed that nothing would ruin it.

As I got into work my luck streak seemed to keep going as Tony wasn't in to hassle me today having called in sick. I guess karma is a bitch to those who deserve it. With Tony not in for the day I was able to walk in peacefully, a sense of relief washing over me. To make things better, Donna did not once bother me as she didn't have a reason at all to. I was on time and didn't cause what she would have called 'a fuss' like yesterday.

Steven seemed to be on time today too for once which was a miracle as he was always late whether that be by five minutes to an hour.

"Hey Steven." I greeted with a smile.
"Hello." He responded giving me a charming grin back.

We spent our shift together working and talking, getting to know one another more but for some reason I was getting déjà vu as if he had already told me these things about him before. It wasn't long before our shift was over but we both had to stay back again and count stock to which I furrowed my brows at as I thought because I don't remember Donna even telling me to stay back and do that, let alone talk to me at all today.

I shrugged it off not minding as I got to spend more time with Steven without the interruption of customers buying things and asking questions. Something felt off though and even though my day was going amazing, I felt as though my heart was beating faster out of fear and anxiety, I felt like a lamb about to get slaughtered.

I turned around to grab something and screamed out as I saw Tony standing right in front of me. He reached out and grabbed my already bruised wrist from when he had gripped it yesterday, tugging at me to try and pull me towards him. I use all the strength I can to pull myself out of his grasp, turning back around to try and run but it's like the floor is tar, keeping me in place.

"Steven!?" I yell out. "Please Steven, help!"

He isn't there. He's gone and nowhere to be seen despite being right behind me just a second ago.

I start to cry as I panic even more, struggling to get out of Tony's grip before I feel another set of hands on my legs. I am no longer in the museum gift shop or at least I don't think I am because all that I see is Tony, hundreds if not thousands of him, his hands reaching out and grabbing me to try and pull me down to suffocate me in this ocean of clones.

I yell out one last time before I am pulled into a pit of darkness, everything going pitch black.

I shoot up from my bed, hand on my chest as I feel my heart racing, trying to catch my breath from the panic of the dream. A dream, that's all it was, just one terrible nightmare.
